"Oh that's right. Actually, we'll cancel the 10 v 2 match. " the coach said on a second thought.
... ... ... 🐥
"What?! " heads turned as jaws dropped.
The whole gym, players and spectators -ah, did I mention a whole bunch had gathered on the second level?- all, stared speechless at him.
What was with this absent-minded coach?!
The coach scratched his head. "Well, I mean, sorry, my bad. I just noticed that someone, " he took a glance at a certain tall male, a mischievous glint in his eyes, "is wearing the school uniform. A pity, proper attire is important and I can't have the principal seeing this, can I? "
"... What? I can run well enough in this. " that particular male yawned in retort.
Until... He felt a tug at the bottom of his shirt. Looking down... It was his mistake.
Their eyes met. Two pairs of eyes went into telepathy mode. A battle of wills clashed against each other in the silent gym.
A war which outcome had already been foreseen and predicted, decided and confirmed. A fight he was bound to lose. He should have known. And he did.
Those pair of eyes that he couldn't resist, not even in a million years. A pleading yet playful note in them. As though asking him to let her. Yet, knowing that there really wasn't any need to ask. Because...
He always did let her have her way.
...Well, most of the time anyway.
Besides, if those puppy dog eyes could already gain her those countless bags of delicacies from The Emperor in the blissful past, surely, The Ace stood no chance.
