(RECAP)
He fingered the yellow amulet tied to his bag. "Although I really do doubt if our bond is as strong as it used to be... But The Diamond is our connection, our pillar of support. If you hurt this person so important to all of us, you'll be confronted by the remaining 6 people. They say, I'm the most easy going one out of them so you've better be prepared. Really Hanamiya-kun, even as one of the Uncrowned Kings, to target her... You've got guts. "

He pushed himself up. "Yosh. I guess I'll leave the rest to them. It's time to train! That devil of a captain is probably fuming mad! I'm scared, Mizukicchi! "

Third POV

A smile graced that delicate face of hers as Mizuki stared down at the snoring face beside her. They had a few hours or so before lessons resumed and he had decided to go to his usual napping place. No doubt, the roof.

Aomine Daiki laid sleeping with a frowning face as black as thunder. She traced those frowning lines across his forehead, gently pressed and smoothen them out.

'He's grown so fierce.' Somewhere in her heart, she realised.

She lightly ran a small finger down his nose. 'Rough. Overbearing. And never smiling around others.'

She traced the sharp lines of his jaws. 'Menacing. And even scary at times.'

She gave a light poke to his lips. 'A foul mouth. And that increasingly annoying haughty attitude. You're nothing like the sweet young boy I first met...'

She placed a small hand on his cheek and once again a smile bestowed a brilliant light onto her face. "... But... I didn't know... That just knowing you'll only show this tender sleeping face to me... Will make me this awfully happy. "

She rubbed hard at her teary eyes as memories came flooding back.

MINI FLASHBACK

Third POV

A small boy stood in the middle of the court. His face shone and his eyes lighted like none she's ever seen. The big grin on his face influenced all those around him as they cheered him on.

And the next second, he was gone. Faster than lightning, he bounced the ball right past his opponents and went towards the goal. None saw but his face lighted up just a little bit more as he felt a presence beside him. 'She's here.' Excitement overwhelmed him.

He jumped, ready to dunk. "IT'S OVER! " a ferocious roar came.

Three opponents jumped up and blocked him. "IT'S NOT UNTIL THE VERY LAST SECOND! "

He was not a complacent boy, his guard was always up. He knew they would at least go this far. He had anticipated this. And of course, so had she...

A grin made its way to his face. "I told you already, it's over. "

With that, he threw the ball back over his head and it neatly landed in the hands of the small girl.
