Chapter 4: Denials

"Hurry up girls! This way!" I said.

I saw Elizabeth and Jennifer leaving all their stuff in the restaurant. I waited for them to leave the building.

Once all of us were out and running towards the small bridge next to the Windmill, a big explosion happened and sent the three of us flying.
The girls landed in the small puddle but I was the unfortunate one that was sent back. My body landed near the fountain.

I tried to get up but it was pointless - my body didn't respond.
I saw a lot of people running away from the lively market, and all of them ignored my motionless being.

I could see many explosions hitting the buildings and another one almost hit me. I was terrified.

"MYTHRA!!!!" I heard Pyra screaming.

I raised my face so I could see what happened.

I saw Mythra's body flying and crashing with the fountain. The fountain stopped her trajectory, that hit must have been deadly.
After she hit the fountain, her sword came down from he sky and its tip landed infront of the Inn's entrance.

She tried to stand up but couldn't. Then I saw a male figure approaching her.
The figure had his right hand extended towards Mythra's body. I could see that his palm had a yellowish color.

I don't know what he was doing, but I had no doubts he had suppressed her movement.

"Stand up, girl." Said the male figure.
It's voice was intimidating, it gave me chills.

Then the figure just clenched his fist and Mythra screamed in pain. Then he extended his fingers and started raising slowly his hand and Mythra started to stand up slowly.

"SISTER!!!" Screamed Pyra.

I saw her jumping from the roof to hit the male figure with her sword. I could tell she was going all out.

It was a direct hit he could not avoid, but then I saw an ether laser hitting Pyra mid air. This hit made her crash with Fate's Hub walls. The wood walls were not as sturdy as the fountain, so her body kept flying and making holes in the buildings.

I was in shock, I didn't know what to do. My legs were stiff and the rest of my body paralyzed.

I saw the male figure getting closer to Mythra.

"What a delicacy you are." He said.

"You..." Mythra said but was cut by the male figure.

"Me what? Are you amazed by my powers? You should be." Then the figure clenched his fist again but harder, this made Mythra scream even louder.

When the figure clenched his fist. Mythra's arms were like tied to her body, like if someone tied tightly her body with a rope.
Also, her legs were shaking badly, what a desperate situation.

"I thought that the Aegis would be a worthy opponent..." He said and then a glowing dagger started materializing in his left hand.

"... But you are just a joke..." He continued.

Then the figure brought his fist closer to his body in a quick succession, like if he was pulling a rope.
During this movement, Mythra followed the same pattern. Her body was pulled towards the male figure and he impaled his dagger into her chest.

"And so... The light has been turned off." He said.

Then Mythra's body began disintegrating into ether dust untill she vanished completely.
