I slowly woke up from my slumber. I heard some birds chirp outside which surprised me - Tantal doesn't have the proper ecosystem to sustain flying animals but nonetheless, it was a very soothing sound to hear after all the events that happened recently.

I opened my eyes and my vision on my right eye was blurry. I scrubbed it gently and opened it again - my vision was back to normal.
I yawned multiple times and refused to get up from my bed. My body simply was feeling very tired, probably that was the aftermath of my actions back in Olethro Ruins. I did not know how close I was from loosing my life, but this exhaustion just gave me an idea that I was near from saying goodbye to this world.

I found myself face up, watching the ceiling of the room. Then I began to inspect the area.
I was shocked as I found that the inn had new forniture, something totally different from what I remembered in my previous stays.

The window, next to my bed, had new curtains and the glasses were replaced by new ones. I could tell because I remembered that the glasses had some scratches.

Then I touched the bed sheet and it was actually more comfy than the old ones.
I could confirm that everything was new - a good signal that Tantal was now slowly improving.

I closed my eyes again and sighed slowly.
To be honest, I didn't feel my legs at all. Indeed, I pushed myself a lot but... I think it was worth it. I was in a safer place, alive with Mythra.

As soon as her name crossed my mind, I rapidly opened my eyes and looked to my left.
I saw her figure, resting on the other bed. She was sleeping sideways, facing my direction.

I started wondering if she, by any chance, had awaken while I was sleeping. Then I started getting worried about her.

What if she didn't wake up? Did she already eat? Will she get sick? How is she feeling? Will she be ok after she wakes up?
These and many other questions echoed inside my mind.

Suddenly, I gasped.

"My weapon!" I said concerned.

I started looking around for my belongings, and luckily, my rapier was next to my bed.
I spotted my large blue coat hung on the wall alongside with my beret. For some reason, I still had my necklace. They didn't remove it from my neck but they decided to leave it intact.

I felt better after I spotted everything important to me - specially after watching Mythra sleep in a safer place.
Then, my stomach started to make noises. My hungry decided to speak out loud and make it noticable on a big degree.

"Great." I said sarcastically.

I didn't want to leave the bed but my biological need was rejecting that desire.

After some minutes of thinking, I gave up and decided to get up. I tried to gather all the remaining energy I had to move body. I really did not want to move, but I just had to - my body was forcing me to do it.

I slowly moved my legs and then lifted up my upper body.
Incredibly, I didn't feel any pain at all. I started to move freely my arms in a delicate manner and nothing.

I looked at my hands and stared at them for a while. I stretched my fingers repeatedly and then, I stretched my body and yawned at the same time.

I put on my boots and grabbed my weapon. I attached it to the usual place around my waist and then stood up.
I went to grab my coat, my beret and put them on.

I approached Mythra and noticed her bed sheet was barely covering her.
I also noticed some of her armor pieces were missing, specifically the ones covering her arms and the ornaments on her skirt. Her boots were next to her and... That was it. The rest she had them on.
