Chapter 25: Watching over You

The air was chilling and the room felt extremely cold for some odd reason.

I woke up so suddenly after I felt a sudden cold breeze, hitting my shoulder and neck.

"Hmmmrgh..." I groaned as I slowly came back to my sense.

I tried to stretch up my entire body but I couldn't; I felt something heavy on my right arm.

I yawned a couple of times before actually bothering on checking what caused such sensation on my arm.

I could barely open my eyes, since I was still sleepy and they felt extremely heavy. I shouldn't be surprised after all, because we ended up sleeping very late, then we struggled to consolidate sleep and when we did, we woke up once no so long after we fell unconscious.

However, I had to admit I only woke up once which was that time that I started kissing her forehead.

But now... It was a new day with some odd drastic climate changes. Perhaps the Titan's interior was shaken or simply the weather met the conditions to allow this kind of chilling temperature.

I pulled the blankets up to my shoulder and I went back to rest sideways. After I laid down my head on the pillow, I slowly opened my eyes to check what was immobilizing my arm.

I had a blurry vision at the beginning, but gradually it came back to normal.

I had a splendid sight when my eyes captured the scenery.

Mythra was sleeping sideways, facing away and giving me her back.
My right arm was underneath her pillow which was being squished by her head.

I began to cherish this moment.

I payed attention to details because this was a lifetime opportunity to witness.

Her sides moved up and down as she breathe. Her golden hair shone as the light hit it, she had a nice and sweet scent and I could hear her soft and slow breathing.

Mythra was still asleep, despite all the noise I made moments ago.

I couldn't remember what position I was before I woke up, but given how my arm was squished altogether with her pillow, it was a safe bet to assume I was spooning her; there was no way that I was sleeping in a different position.

I was still sleepy and I wasn't in the proper state to analyze and think about stuff carefuly. I simply went for it and I pulled her body close to me to spoon her.

I wrapped her body with my left arm, putting my hand below her chest, respecting her boundaries.

"Mmmmm... Grrrrdy... Ndd.. misch... evous. ." I heard Mythra mumble after I found a cozy position while spooning her.

I did not reply back, I simply wanted to keep sleeping.

Silence surrounded us once again; it became our companion for the rest of moment. However, I began to have seconds thoughts.

I thought that what I just did was something very committal and perhaps not suited given the context. I also heard Mythra mumble something moments ago; perhaps that was her way of attempting to speak out her mind.

A lot of ideas bounced but I quickly landed on one: it wasn't appropriate, more that she was barely conscious.

So I decided to quit spooning her and instead, I pulled my farm, followed by me turning my body to sleep sideways, facing the other direction.

"Oh?" I heard Mythra say as I was turning around.

"W... What happened?" Mythra asked with a very exhausted tone. She immediately yawned after that.
