"I can't believe it's really you!" I exclaim, pulling away to get a better look at Minho. Red circles surround his almost black colored eyes. I can tell that he's been in pain for a really long time. If he weren't smiling at me right now, he'd look completely drained.

"Well who else is the hot shank with perfect hair you're looking at?" Minho remarks as sassy as ever. I chuckle. I've been waiting six months to hear them from him.

"YN what the bloody hell are you doing here?!" Newt rushes to me once he's let me finish up greeting Minho. "You're supposed to be on the bus with Brenda!" He takes me by the shoulders.

"There was no time for that. You shanks never came back. I had to come find you." I explain, staring deeply into Newt's brown irises. His blonde hair is drenched in sweat, and it's usually fluffy texture is flattened out instead.

Newt opens his mouth to say something else, but is interrupted by even more bullet sounds.

"WE GOT TO GO!" Thomas yells, picking up his launcher. "MOVE MOVE MOVE!! I'LL COVER! YOU GUYS KEEP MOVING FORWARD!"

Minho pushes me forward, following closely behind. I take a glance and see that Newt has stayed behind with Thomas. I hold onto Minho's arm to make sure that he keeps up with me. In all honesty, I don't know who's feeling worse at the moment. The boy who was tortured by WICKED for months, or the girl who's turning into a crank.

"STAY LOW!" Thomas warns, snapping me out of my trance.

Minho and I begin to sprint down the corridors, footsteps pounding on the ground right behind us.

"There's too many of them," Thomas says. "This way!" He turns a corner, only for us to come in view with the blonde woman. The director of the maze trials. Ava Paige. The woman who ruined our lives. The woman who has my passed friends blood on her hands.

"Thomas?" The female doctor tilts her head to the side like a lost puppy.

"I'll kill you!" I begin to step forward, raising my launcher to where it's eye level. The ground starts to rumble beneath my feet, causing me to loose my balance. More grenades, I assume.

"We don't have time for this. we got to go!!!" Newt yanks my arm, pulling me away in the opposite direction.

Minho's already ahead of Newt and I, but only by a couple feet. Thomas waits for the three of us to pass ahead to stay in the back to cover.

"THOMAS!" A man's voice blares down the hall. I turn to see Janson. "THEY WENT THAT WAY!" He informs his men.

Janson's men continue to aim their guns at us. Bullet sounds have become a familiar sound to me by now. My friends and I all sprint as fast as we possibly Can down the hallway, desperately looking for a way out of this situation.

"How the hell does he know we're here?!" I question, while trying to keep up.

"He saw us earlier!" Newt answers between breaths.

I furrow my eyebrows when I finally realize Teresa's not here, nor was she with the boys when I found them. I knew it! Once a traitor, always a traitor. I can't even be mad right now because I have to put all my focus in putting one leg in front of the other. My eyes unfocusing every now and then. Only one answer: the flare.

Thomas leads the group now. Every where we turn we're met face to face with the enemy. There's no escape. There's hundreds of them against four of us.

"In here!" Thomas shouts, opening the door to a room.

He's got to be shucking kidding me.

Newt and Minho seem to be questioning this too, but they decide to listen because Thomas is usually the one with all the bright ideas. We have no other option, so we quickly scramble into the small room.
