Head Under Water

Chapter 21

She laughed at his surprised expression "You should see your face!"

Percy frowned at the joke. "That's not funny Annabeth"

"Yes it was" She smiled and ran her hands up his chest, then around his neck. "I'd like to wait a little longer if thats ok"

"As you wish" Percy responded as he pecked Annabeth's lips.

Annabeth got up off of Percy's lap and turned the TV off. "I think we should get to bed. Even though we're on spring break, we still need to do stuff"

"Yeah" Percy agreed as he got up and went to his room, Annabeth following closely behind.

The next day, Tuesday, Percy woke up before Annabeth, as was pretty normal now, and showered. He took his clothes with him so Annabeth would have privacy as she changed in Percy's room.

Over the weeks of them dating, Annabeth had assembled a collection of clothes that she kept at Percy's house. His mother just threw them in with her own laundry, and Percy had cleared out a draw in his dresser for her to keep her clothes. Percy's place was a little "home away from home".

She felt safe with Percy, and it was good for her to have a safe place away from her step mother. She knew that she would have to go back eventually, but she wanted to delay that as much as possible. Her father was different, she loved her dad, but he was always so submissive. After Annabeth's mother left, it destroyed his confidence. He never fought anymore for her.

Percy finished his shower, and right on time, Annabeth had just finished getting dressed. She usually showered in the evening so they didn't need to wait for each other to finish. Percy was ecstatic over the fact that Annabeth and him had just naturally come up with a system, and that she felt safe with him.

Percy was dressed in a light blue hoodie with black sweats, and Annabeth had thrown on a crimson red t-shirt, with black leggings. As soon as Percy was out, she walked up to him, pecked his lips, and said "Good morning Seaweed Brain"
