Finally Friday, Percy was almost free for the weekend. He looked at the clock and his hopes dimmed. He was still in the 1st period. His head dropped on the desk as he drowned out the teacher's lesson. He thought about the little slip of paper in his left pocket. The answers for the assignment, written in the neat, gray gel pen. He felt bad. He knew it would bite him back later, but he wanted to trust her. To trust Annabeth.

The bell rang and Percy quickly left for PE. It was his favorite class, even though Couch Hedge could be a bit scary. He didnt care what you did in the class as long as he didn't have to fill out any paperwork, and this let Percy practice his swimming. He couldn't tell anyone why, but it calmed him down. Diving down, and not being able to hear anything, and drown the world out.

He ran into the locker room and put on the gym shorts he used as swim trunks, and threw on the orange "Goode High" PE uniform shirt. After he was done, he ran to the pool and when he got about 5 feet away, tore his shirt off and threw it to the side before diving in. He sank to the bottom and sat there, enjoying the peace, and the quiet. Only the sound of the water moving.

He heard something enter the water, and looked up, a pair of legs was dangling from someone sitting on the edge of the pool. Percy quickly swam up to see who it was, and was surprised to see Annabeth.

"Hey" She said swinging her legs a bit, moving the water

"What do you want?" Percy asked as he lifted himself out of the pool and grabbed a nearby towel.

"I saw you run in here, and was a little curious. You were down there for like 3 minutes" Annabeth explained as she got up.

"And why does it matter?" Percy replied, but did not get an answer as Annabeth left the room.

Perspective switch: Annabeth

She tried to hide her blush as she walked away, there was no way she could let him ses, otherwise it would ruin her. She didn't want to admit it, but Percy was fit. And if she had stayed any longer, he could have noticed that she was checking him out.

'Omg, he's fit! Why does he hide it?! With his body, he could get any girl in the school, so why dress baggy and allow himself to be picked on?' She thought as she walked back to her group of "friends"
