Chapter 7

Percy's Perspective:

He quickly left the room, trying his best to ignore the silent jabs, and mocking that his classmates were giving him. For a second, he actually thought Annabeth was different, but no, she's just like every other jerk in this hellhole they call a school. He suddenly felt someone tap on his shoulder. He ignored it, thinking it was just another person to make fun of him, but they tapped again, and again, until Percy finally stopped and turned to look at the person.

Annabeth stood there, constantly looking over her shoulder. "I'm sorry about what I did in class" She apologized. Percy felt his breath stop. No one ever apologized... and with her looking at him, he noticed the dark stormy grey in her eyes. She wasnt just some dumb blonde, maybe she was more.

Nah, they all seem that way before they hurt you. He just flashed a fake smile and nodded, turning around and walking away.

Annabeth's Perspective:

She felt her heart sink into a pit as he walked away. Her apology didn't mean anything to him. All her previous interactions with people had ruined their trust. She hated all of it, the drama, the friends, but it was her only way of staying "popular". The rest of the day was kinda a blur, like most, and once her "friends" left, she went around to the classes like she always did to get the homework, and made sure she understood it. Mr. Blofis was the last room she went to, he usually would bring Percy home, then come back to grade papers or ready the lesson plan for the next day. She knocked on the door, and entered "Mr Blofis?" she asked.

"Ah, Annabeth, your homework is on the front desk" He said from his desk as he pointed with a pencil.

"Thank you Sir" She said as she picked up the packet and put it in her satchel.

"What happened today between you and Percy?" He asked as he looked back down and started grading.

"I tried to apologize, but he didn't believe me" She said slowly.

"Yep, sounds like Percy, give him some time, he'll get over it" With this Mr. Blofis smiled, and Annabeth left the room.
