"Percy! You're gonna be late for school!" Sally called down the hall from the kitchen. Percy really didn't want to, but begrudgingly rolled out of bed and quickly got himself dressed in a blue hoodie and black jeans. He shoved his laptop and books into his bag, making his way out of his room and into the kitchen. Paul could be seen in the next room reading a newspaper.
"Morning Mom" Percy said as he dug through the cabinets and grabbed a blue poptart. He opened the silver package and took a bite. "Good morning Paul"
"Percy, you need to be up earlier. I need to be at school at least 20 minutes before the students." Paul said as he got up and grabbed his keys from the key hook.
Paul walked to the door and Percy followed behind, with his bag in hand. The car ride was silent, as Paul only used the radio for Audio books. "You better not be late for the 3rd period again." Paul said as they pulled into the school parking lot.
-Timeskip by the Power of LAZINESS-He was late for 3rd period... which happens to be Paul's class. Percy slowly walked into the room and took his seat in the back of the room. "Ah, how nice of you to join us, Mr. Jackson" Paul said with a scowl.
A few girls in the front row laughed, with their blonde hair ditsy leader pointing at him while laughing. Percy shrugged it off, and tried to focus on the lesson.
"Today," Paul said "and for the rest of this week, you are going to split into groups and read "The Odyssey"."
Everyone started cheering, and yelling for their friends, but then Paul interrupted. "I have chosen your partners for you." And a collective complaint was heard around the room.
Paul started listing off names, and then he got to Percy. "Percy, you're with Annabeth." Paul gestured to the blonde that was laughing at him earlier.
This was gonna be fun...
(very sarcastic)I know, short chapter... but hey, I'm giving this a try, and I'd really appreciate some patience with me. Thanks. The next chapter will hopefully be longer.
