Mya's heels tapped against the hardwood floors as she entered the doubled doors.

The lobby a mirror of an outdoor space as the light brought brightness to the entire space due to the translucent ceiling.

Mya waved at the security guard before she headed towards the elevator. Her grey Michael Cors bag hung from her arm as she pressed the button that would lead her to her destination.

She took a deep breath, her eyes closed in the process. She'd spent the past four years working for her aunt at Elite magazine.

It was the only magazine in Los Angeles that encompassed every aspect of everyday life including sport. Which was what today's meeting was mainly about.

She loved writing for Elite, especially after using most of her college years trying to figure out what was the right fit for her career wise. She was contented at Elite.

Her Aunt Kim pushed her and helped her grow in ways she would ever be indebted to the woman for.

As the elevator doors opened, she walked towards the glass door and pushed. The meeting room had already began to full as two members from every department sat around the oval shaped table.

With no sign of her aunt, Mya took a seat beside her editor and chief. This was her first inclusion since her promotion to editor.

She'd went from helping her colleagues source information for their work, to now doing her own work.

She'd completed one piece already and hoped that due to her increase in online engagement, she'd get more.

"Good morning Greta."

Greta was the chief editor for Elite magazine and someone that gave the company twenty two years of service. She worked her way up from the bottom and had the skills to prove it.

The door opened and the room silenced as Kim entered and took her seat at the head of the table.

She was dressed in a white shirt suit and red bottom heels. Black shades covered her eyes before she slid it on top of her head. Her waves falling just past her shoulders.

"Good morning."

"Good morning."

She received in response as notebooks and notepads graced the table.

"I want to keep this meeting brief because we do have a lot to do for this month's issue, online and in print, but I wanted to share the good news."

Eyes darted from one to the other. There were so many things everyone was working on, it was hard to tell who'd been successful in securing what.

"We've successfully gotten Regius Mills' people to agree to make him the cover of this month's issue."

Applause ran through the room as some people gave a sigh of relief.

Mya didn't know much about Regius Mills besides the fact that in his five years since getting drafted, he's been the player to beat. He's won MVP twice and the Eagles have won two championship rings, thanks to him.

But the man led a very private life.

"As we all know Regius Mills is very private. His team does not do interviews or photo ups, he never speaks after games, he's rarely photographed unless on the court and others have been dying to get his management team to get him to do any interview. So this is something we have to be very delicate with."

Mya nodded. The man was in the public eye, yet still he wasn't. There was never even incriminating blog posts about the man. His team was either very careful or Regius Mills was a homebody.
