Flashback

Regius dribbled the ball in his hands, his opponents on his trail in an attempt to steal the ball from him.

He dribbled to his left and to his right, ducking two opponents before he was close enough to the ring and he shot the ball towards the ring and watched as it soared in the air and landed in the ring.

His heart swell as the applause from parents on the stand could be heard.

He wore a big grin on his face as the chocolate brown man ran towards him and hosted him into the air.

"Where did you learn to hoop like that?"

He questioned as Regius grinned.

"From the best."

He boosted the man's ego as he wrapped his arms around Regius and swung him around.

"You're all me Ryi. You're all me."

He grinned up at his father. All he wanted to do was make the man proud.

"I'm all you, dad."

A tear rolled down the man's cheek."

Flashback Ended

Regius sat up in bed, sweat glistening his forehead.

He stared at the woman sound asleep beside him.

What the hell was that?

Why was he dreaming Mya's uncle?

Why was he dreaming Jamauld?

He knew he'd seen the man play a couple of times and admired his techniques, to the point where he realized their techniques were similar, but to dream him. To call him dad.

What the hell was wrong with him?

Why was he dreaming about a next man being his father when he already had a father?

He passed his hand over his face as he climbed out of bed, careful not to wake Mya.

He slid into his boxer briefs as he walked towards the kitchen.

He poured himself a glass of water before walking towards the living room.

He'd barely gotten the time to investigate her home because as soon as they got in, they were both in the shower and then in bed together.

It felt like they were making up for lost time and Regius knew they needed to have a serious talk.

When he was inside Mya, everything in him fought against pulling out.

And as much as he felt connected to her. He knew he was not ready to be a father.

She'd said she was in the pill, but missing one day could change their lives forever.

They both needed to discuss other methods of contraception before it was too late.

He stared at the pictures on the wall of her family.

A lot of them included her Aunt Kim and Uncle Jomauld. Even her Aunt Jasmine, Uncle Trey and Briana.

Regius could tell that they were a closely knit family and he liked that about them.

The pictures were supposed to form a square pattern on the wall but out of the nine pictures, there were only eight.

One was missing from the first top row of three. He wondered if it had been broken and she needed to have it replaced.
