04: Stumbles and Feelings

Fighting happens in every couple, especially with the ones that just married. Newlyweds were tense about the moment, due to the change of status, everything became tenser because the fights were more domestic. Small ones about who should clean up the bathroom, who should cook for the night, or such. Though the problem was about Ajax's way of words, yes they can be sweet as honey but other times he could be an asshole that wants to be punched in the face.

[M/N] had commented about the stains of blood on Ajax's uniform, wanting to wash it out since people would ask questions and then the Qixing would pick up on the talk. He didn't want to hear the end of it and had asked to wash it.

Which triggered Ajax.

" I'm fine with what I'm wearing, even if it's covered in my enemy's blood, it's what's shows what I'm made of."
" and I said you should take a bath as I wash your clothes, you're turning something small into something serious."
" You would be scared of someone powerful, you're just a lazy civilian making clothed for sheep. As the powerful take on everything, someone like me."
" Ajax, Stop-"
" Pft, or what? You're gonna hurt me?"
" I'll kick you out of my fucking house, let's not forget who's name is on the house."
"I don't need this."

[M/N] sniffed a bit as he sat under a tree in the back, looking over the clothes he had designed in his book. He looked over the shading of the design, moving his pencil over the lines of the shirt on the page. He didn't want to come into his office or work at home, it was too quiet and stuffy at the same time. He moved outside, farther from the Harbor and into the Jueyun Karst area. He easily dodged any wild Whopperflowers or sleeping Hilichurls around before settling himself on a hill, sitting on a log and under a large tree. He hadn't seen Ajax since they fought the other day, he didn't know where he went, probably back at the bank or perhaps hanging with Mr.Zhongli.

Ajax had been oddly attached to that man-

[M/N] shake his head a bit as those thoughts came to mind, Ajax wouldn't ruin their marriage like that. They were barely married for two years and Ajax knew better to bring shame to his family like that. "He wouldn't do that..would he?" [M/N] asked, voice wavering a bit as thoughts hit him. He blinked back the tears, sniffing a bit as he rubbed his eyes, trying not to let tears fall on his book. He blinked his eyes again before feeling a nudge by his foot.

"Stop, if you're an animal, go ahead and eat me." [M/N] sniffed as he rubbed his eyes before feeling a much harder nudge. He glared at the animal or Hilichurl that could be annoying him but saw nothing but a tiny Hydro slime. It stared up at him and blinked his white eyes, nudging him once more. [M/N] rubbed his eyes before closing his book, the pencil inside before placing the book beside him. "What? Gonna attack me?" He asked the Hydro Slime as if it understood him. 

 It stared at him, before nudging itself again and tried to climb up his lap. [M/N] stared at the slime before lifting it up, it was actually really cool to the touch and it leans against his lap and hands. [M/N] stared down at the creature and placed his hands on it, it purred and sinks into his lap. 

"So cute, but odd..Mr.Baizhou would love to open you up to see what's ticking...but I'm not that mean." [M/N] said as the slime cooed and purred under his hand. He watched and sniffed a bit, how wonderful. The one nice thing was another Hydro user.

"I know you're not mean, that's why I love you." [M/N] went stiff as he heard the voice behind him, he didn't turn but knew who it was. "[M/N].."

"Don't [M/N] me, I'm pissed and will throw this slime at you." 

"Baby, come on, I didn't mean any of it, I swear." Childe, no, Ajax said, taking steps closer with the large bouquet of silk flowers in his hand. He spent most of the day picking them around Liyue and even spent money to buy more for his husband. "I was just stress from work and took it all out on you, which I shouldn't."

"You're just saying this because you want to come home." [M/N] said as he looked at the slime, seeing his white eyes were closed and asleep. 

"Well, yeah, but no, I want to come home and snuggle with you in bed." Ajax said as he stops behind [M/N]. "I want to wake up early and make you breakfast, even if you throw it out since I can't cook Liyue food, even if he followed the recipe to the exact word. I want to watch you draw in your many books for new outfits or try to create a new fabric color you made. I want to see you fight against creatures with that Polearm of yours.."

"Did Mr.Zhongli or Lady Ganyu or even Hu Tao help you out with this speech?" [M/N] asked as he placed the slime down, it didn't look back at [M/N] as it slithered away towards the water.

"A bit of help from Mr.Zhongli." Ajax admitted, sniffing a bit, and [M/N] turns his head and saw a beaten-up Ajax, his clothes a bit ripped and dried blood around his lip.  He stands up and looked over the messy look and asked. "What happened?" 

"Mr.Zhongli..taught me thoroughly not to piss you off." [M/N] looked to him and smiled before shaking his head. Of course, that sweet man did. Arm with a polearm no doubt and kicked ajax's ass/ 

"Listen, I know we both said some things but how about we go home?" [M/N] said as he takes the flowers and moved his hand over Ajax's chest, beaming up at him sweetly, and soon the wound on Ajax began to slowly heal and giggled at the tickling touches from his beloved healing. "Let's go home."

"Yeah, let's go."
