15| I'm so sick of your face

[M/N] groans painfully as the fan above him tried to cool him, or the rag on his forehead. He ignored the swarming pit in his stomach, filled with alcohol and crystal shrimp. He had drunk a lot of it and ate two bowls of it with Captain Kaeya, and came home in the early morning, after puking it up. [M/N] groans a bit more as he curled against the pillow on the bed.

"Ajax, can you get me some more water?"

"No, but I can get you some fresh tea."

He said as he entered the room, the man placed the soothing cup of ginger tea. The steam blows over to [M/N]'s face and the designer groans. "Now, Now, you drunk a lot last night, so a cup of it would be very soothing for the mind." The man tuts a bit as [M/N] grumbled as the ringing came back.

"Ugh...so mean.." [M/N] grumbled, but knew his husband was just trying to the best with the little time he had before leaving for work. "When do you leave for work?"

"..I took the day off to care for you." The other replied as he takes the cloth from [M/N]'s forehead and pulled back. He dumped it into a small bowl of cold water and squeezed the extra out. "Did you at least have fun as you drank to your heart's content?"

"A bit...Kaeya was asking me questions and I totally ignored them all...venting about..you."

"About me?"

"..Ajax we've been..so disconnected..and you're always gone..you've missed dates and-"

"[M/N] wait-"

"You tell me you don't want children anymore, you missed dates which I can understand if it's work but I saw you with her yesterday and..you made me feel so..so..ugly." [M/N] sniffed as tears fell down his cheeks and onto the sheets of the bed. He tried rubbing them away as his head pounds, his body begging him to stop this since his head hurts to bad. "..am I not enough for you? Do you want me to try harder or are you suddenly interested in women and want to open our marriage for them?"

"Enough." The other man said as he wiped the tears away with his glove, looking down to the teary and blurry eyes of the other. Those words were heavy on his heart and anger. "...You make me incredibly happy..you always have since the day I met you.."

"Then why..?" The man grimace as [M/N]'s voice cracked as he asked again. "Do you not love me anymore?"

The man was silent as he placed the cold rag on [M/N]'s forehead, he groans softly at the cold feeling and leans back against the pillow. "Ooohh~"

"I love you more than all of history itself." The man whispers as he looked at the other. His hands gently rubbed away any remaining tears falling from [M/N]'s cheeks. He must've drunk a lot if he couldn't tell the difference between Ajax and himself. [M/N] sniffed once more before nuzzling against the hand that touched him, the man gives a bittersweet smile as he caressed [M/N]'s cheek in his hand. 

He looked up as he checked outside, the sun was open and everyone in Liyue was going about their day. His eyes glanced at the painted photo of [M/N]'s and Ajax's wedding, then to the mirror that showed the cracks on the skin of his adepti form, how angry his amber eyes looked as he stared back at himself. 

Zhongli felt like ripping the head off his friend and throwing it far, into the homeland of the Tsaritsa.

"Kissy..." [M/N] whispered, peeking up at his husband, or thought to be him.

"Why?" Zhongli asked as [M/N] kept nuzzling his gloved hand.

"..because you love me?" That sounded more of a question than a statement. Zhongli glanced at the door before slowly bending down and kissed [M/N] sweetly on the lips, fresh mint from this morning when he puked.

[M/N] giggled a bit, as he closed his eyes and Zhongli pulled back, he seemed happy. He slowly let's go and stands, fixing his jacket a bit before walking back to the kitchen to check on the soup. Something small and possibly, thinking of ways to make Ajax see how he was treating his beloved. 

"Because you love me?"

"Because I love you, I will fix this..this..little blip in your relationship," Zhongli said as he opened the top and stirred the soup before closing it. 

Ajax would be home soon and perhaps he can have a word with him before he goes off on another adventure with Lumine and her team.
