My mother hated the cold, she had been from Sumire and brought to the snowy Ice land of Snezhaya to marry my father. He owned a very wealthy fabric company and my mother was born into fabrics and sewing. They were arranged quickly and married just as quickly as well, I wasn't born until two years later in a small village near the Tsarita's palace. I was born as the one and only son to them. Since the first labor was hard on my mother, they decided to stop at me.
I lived in a lovely home, large for little me at the time and I learned the way of fabrics and sewing, and how to draw as well which my mother hated. "Drawing is meant for girls, go work with your father to make another textile design." While my father encouraged my skills since there was always room for designers in the world. "That's lovely! Just go to your room and enjoy the free time to draw my love." He wasn't home all the time, but when he was, I was showered with attention and affection. My mother didn't, she was a workaholic and loved taking her frustrations out on the servants we had or destroyed books or scrolls in the offices when something didn't go her way.I didn't know it then, but my mother hated the home I was raised in, the home I was born in, everything she hated. Most of the time I blamed myself for causing her destruction, the way she acted, and the way she hurt my father or others. If I wasn't born, she wouldn't have been acting like this, not at all. I wished for it all to stop, for all of it to just stop and it did.
One day, when I was seven years old, she just left. She left most of her things but some Mora and clothes before leaving early that morning. We never heard of her again, but as sad as it sounded, I didn't really care for her abandoning me with my father. I never really bat an eye, I knew the women in the town pitied me and the kids never bringing their own mothers up in conversation, but I kept moving on. I moved along with life and I met him.[M/N] fixed the sewed hat on the snowman, making sure his miscolored eyes were fixed and his arms weren't falling off his sides. He moved back and nods to his snowman friend before crying out as the head explodes and the parts went everywhere. His [E/C] eyes were wide and looked around, throwing himself to the ground. Maybe it was an assassin! What would they want with him or his poor snow friend? He didn't do a thing to upset the Lady Tsarita, not at all! Maybe his mother came back to kill him at last! The horror!
"Hey, are you okay?" A voice speaks, and [M/N] went stiff a bit before slowly peeking out from behind his snow friend. He saw a boy around his age and dressed in all browns and blues, he had pale skin with some freckles poking out from under the blue scarf he had and deep blue eyes that stared at [M/N] with concern and apology. "I'm sorry for hurting your snow friend! Honestly, I was practicing and my arrow missed the target!" He said, as he walked over and offered his hand to [M/N]. "I'm so sorry!"
