✧˖°࿐ After bidding goodbye to Xiao, she luckily managed to make it to the Stone Gate before nightfall. She just slept underneath the small shelter there before making her way into Mondstadt the next day.

Now the hard part.

How am I supposed to find him?

Ganyu grumbled a bit. She would most likely check out Wolvendom and Stormterror's Lair first, then make her way over east to the Stormbearer Mountains, Thousand Winds Temple, and finally Dadaupa Gorge to fly over to Musk Reef.

Or ice bridge over.

It's too bad Kaeya isn't here.

She laughed at her own joke, taking the path to the left after the teleport waypoint. She glanced around the corner to see if the mitachurl that was always there in the game still existed.

Huh, I guess not.

She walked past where it would've been and continued along her way.

Though the main path would be understandably void of enemies besides a slime or two, it didn't make sense as to why this out of the way road had nothing going on in it. It put Ganyu on edge, bringing her bow out just in case she was jumped.

Going more slowly, she peered into every nook and cranny, looking for a clue.

Nothing of interest appeared until she arrived at the entrance to Stormterror's Lair.

"It will be waking up soon."

"Yes, and the locals barely go here. It will be a good spot to use as a base while corrupting Dvalin."

Her eyes shot open, and she peered around the corner.

Three Abyss Mages, one pyro, one hydro, one cryo, were talking in the area at the end of the big bridge to the spire in the center.

"Should we report this to the Herald?"

The pyro one seemed to shake its head, "Based on the trail of thwarted Abyss Order plans, the nuisance will be arriving in Mondstadt next. We should repair and eliminate him, and get a promotion!"

"I don't know..."

"What a wonderful idea! Let us go!"

The three began to float across the bridge. Ganyu's eavesdropping gave her some very useful information.

A nuisance to the Abyss Order? That sure did sound like Dainsleif. Not only that, but Abyss forces would be centralized in Stormterror's Lair for now.

Satisfied, Ganyu turned around to make her way to the famous City of Freedom, to await for the Bough Keeper.

The guards at the gates gave her weird looks, most likely because of her horns, but she got in no problem. Everything appeared to have a very similar layout to Mondstadt in the game, unlike Liyue which differed in so many ways.

"Excuse me, traveler!"

Ganyu turned to her left, making eye contact with Kathery- the spokeswoman for the Adventurers Guild.

"Ah, yeah? What can I do for you?"

"You look as though you would be a valuable asset to the Adventurers Guild! If you join you can get-"

"Oh, um, I know?"

"Oh."

A beat of awkward silence.
