✧˖°࿐ Ganyu's side hurt.

Like really hurt.

Groaning, she rolled over onto her side that didn't hurt.

It was like her first day in this world ten years ago.

Her eyes wouldn't open, the bed felt unfamiliar. She hadn't made it to a ship.

She could feel the tears from underneath her eyelids. Did the Tsarita catch her? Was she going to die?

"What were you thinking?!"

"Yeva, calm down! She was bleeding out!"

"Maxim, are you kidding me?! She has horns! She has a hole in her side! You found her unconscious in the middle of the snow! How suspicious is that?!"

Ganyu groaned again, all the yelling giving her a headache. She tried to open her eyes again, which luckily worked this time.

The room itself was dim, a small bed which Ganyu was on, a dresser, a full length mirror, and a night stand being the only furniture. There was no real decoration, but the quilt on the bed was very warm, and she really couldn't bring herself to care about the yelling.

"Yeva, darling, what if she was attacked by some monster? It doesn't necessarily mean the Fatui!"

"I'd rather not risk it! If we die because of this stupid decision of yours, then you're going to burn in Hell!"

What a happy marriage.

The door slammed open shortly after, spooking Ganyu.

"Ah you're awake."

She looked over to see a short ginger woman followed by a tall black haired man. The woman is openly glaring at her, but the man looks at her apologetically.

"Who are you?"

"Um, I'm the secretary of the Liyue Qixing. My name is Ganyu."

"Liyue? And do tell why you were bleeding out in the middle of nowhere?"

Time to spin a web of lies.

"I was having a meeting with one of the Harbingers, discussing trades with Liyue. Normally I can take care of myself but the storm was especially harsh, so I couldn't see. I was jumped by something. I tried to fight back and run, but I didn't make it very far. It seems that's when one of you found me."

Pretty convincing.

"Which Harbinger?"

Shit.

"It was Il Dottore," she blurted out.

The woman raised an eyebrow, "And what did he want?"

"Well, you see, Liyue has a lot of Ruin Guards in it! They wanted to see if there was a way to change them to work as Fatui war machines!"

The man spoke up this time, "Why would they tell you that?"

"We made a contract. If they used any Ruin Guards to attack Liyue, then Rex Lapis would be able to destroy Snezhnaya!"

Zhongli, forgive me. I'm afraid I will be killed if I don't lie about this.

The woman nodded slowly, "Why would the Geo Archon get involved?"

"Most likely to guarantee as much safety to Liyue as possible."

"And you have horns because?"

"I myself am an Adeptus serving Rex Lapis. I am the closest to humans though and act as a sort of bridge between the two."
