͙✧˖°࿐ It was a wonderful morning for Yue. She woke up in Xiao's arms and then Diluc provided them with a wonderful breakfast.

God, I love pancakes.

It was after finishing up that Diluc saw them off.

"I would walk you to Mondstadt, but I have some work to catch up on."

"Oh, it's fine! I'm sure we can make it to Mondstadt just fine. Thank you for everything, though!"

Diluc nodded in affirmation, "I hope that everything goes well for you. We might see each other again, but until then, this is goodbye."

Yue nodded back, "Thank you again, Diluc! We'll be off now, goodbye!"

Xiao followed her out of the door and the two began to make their way northward. After a while, Yue sighed.

"Is something wrong?"

"No, it's just," Yue sighed again, "now we need to go to Mondstadt or else Diluc will get suspicious. He plays a big role in the Mondstadt arc so it would be bad for him not to trust us."

Xiao nods in understanding, "It isn't too big of a detour at least. You just need to talk to them, right?"

"Mmhm! Shouldn't take long, so let's knock it out today!"

Walking into the city of freedom, it was now identical to the game. Originally, when she came here to wait for Dainsleif, it looked similar but different. Marjorie's store was a flower shop, and the little tables where Flora resided had been non-existent.

There wasn't much time to focus on it though, as Yue had a job to do. She made a beeline for the Knights of Favonius Headquarters with Xiao trailing behind her, eyeing everything around the two.

As the two got closer, Yue could begin to hear a conversation.

"-not much more we can do."

"You really think you're doing enough?! You've had a dragon attacking the city and you're just leaving it be! Why can't you just leave it to the Fatui? We could do a much better job than you!"

She reached the top of the stairs and turned the corner to see Jean outside of the front door with Lisa to her side confronting the two main Fatui diplomats sent to Mondstadt.

"We would hate to burden you with one of Mondstadt's problems. We thank you for the continued support, but we will deal with the Stormterror threat on our own," Jean declared, and with a 'hmph,' the Fatui turned and walked away towards Yue.

Jean began to rub her forehead as Lisa looked over to the to foreigners with a raised eyebrow, "Jean, dear, I believe we have some guests."

The Acting Grand Master pulled her hand away to make eye contact with Yue, who gave an awkward wave as she began walking over.

"Hello there! You wouldn't happen to be the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, would you?"

Jean gave a nod, "I am the Acting Grand Master of the Knights, Jean," she held out her hand for Yue to shake.

"I'm Ganyu, the secretary of the Liyue Qixing. I apologize for not sending an advance notice of our arrival, but this trip was... impromptu, to say the least," she gave Jean's hand a firm shake.

Lisa also offered her hand out, "And I'm Lisa, the Librarian here. And who's the boy behind you?"

"He's..."

"Xiao, her bodyguard."

The two tensed slightly at the curt response, clearly on edge because of everything that had been happening in the City of Freedom lately. Jean shook it off quickly though, "And to what do we owe the pleasure?"

"Well, for one, we heard about the Stormterror debacle and were worried about how it might affect trade between Liyue and Mondstadt. I'm also using up my vacation days, since I haven't been to Mondstadt in a long time and would like to explore it."

"Ah, that is understandable," Jean nodded, "Please, come inside so we can talk about this in the appropriate place."

Yue stretched as they walked out of the Favonius Headquarters.

"Ahhh, that was boring!"

"It's surprising knowing that that's your job," Xiao commented, "It doesn't seem like something you would do."

"But it's something Ganyu would do! Anyways, would you like to get some lunch before we head out? Or do you just want to go?"

"We can eat later. I doubt they have Almond Tofu here."

Yue chuckled, "Yeah, I guess they wouldn't. Off we go then!"
