𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓹𝓽𝓮𝓻 21: 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒜𝒹𝓋𝑒𝓃𝓉𝓊𝓇𝑒 𝐵𝑒𝑔𝒾𝓃𝓈!

͙✧˖°࿐ "So," Lumine scrunched her face up in thought, "you're technically from another world, but this isn't your body. You've been here, what, a hundred years? And this world is fiction where you're from."

"Ehe..." Yue scratched her cheek, "sounds about right."

"Does that mean you know what's happened to my brother?"

Yue froze. Would telling Lumine affect any part of the plot? It's not like she actually knew what had happened to Aether.

"Well?" Lumine pushed.

It couldn't hurt to ease her worries.

Yue shook her head, "Not exactly. I can tell you that he's alive and unharmed though."

Lumine let out a big sigh of relief and a small smile, clearly happy to hear that Aether was alright.

Yue looked back to see Xiao and Paimon conversing in the background. Paimon had apparently been so enthralled by even the idea of a dish named "Almond Tofu" that she had managed to distract Xiao and herself for the entirety of the conversation Yue and Lumine had.

"Now I have a question for you, Lumine."

The Outlander cocked her head to the side, "What is it?"

"How did you learn about sussy ?"

"Oh that? It was in the world me and my brother were in before this one. It was about a game called Among Us, but I think you already knew that."

Yue nodded, and looked back at an exacerbated Xiao trying to keep Paimon away from him, "We can guide you to Mondstadt, the city specifically. From there I think it would be better if we only helped behind the scenes."

"Because you know too much?" Yue nodded, "Where does your knowledge end?"

"It ends after your journey in Liyue," a half truth, leaving out the Dainsleif quests that had come out, "There were rumors that you would be using Beidou's ship to get the Inazuma, the next nation, but nothing was ever confirmed before I ended up here."

"COME ON! I GOT TO KNOW WHAT ADEPTUS TASTES LIKE!"

"GET AWAY FROM ME DEMON SPAWN!"

The conversation ended there as Lumine and Yue rushed to grab Paimon and Xiao before they could kill each other.

"JUST LET ME EAT YOU, YOU STINKY SHITTY FUCKED BY BOB THE BUILDER LOOKING ASS BITCH!"

"Lumine, what have you taught her?"

Lumine deadpanned.

"You don't wanna know."

After calming Paimon down with the idea of a Sticky Honey Roast, the party began the trek to Mondstadt.

As they approached the cliff that overlooked the city and the Statue of the Seven, Yue stopped them.

"Before we go any farther," Yue began, "I'm going to set down some ground rules. Number one: don't bring up anything from another world other than the fact that Lumine can travel between different worlds."

Lumine and Paimon gave a nod as Xiao looked away in disinterest.

"Number 2: nothing about me or where I come from, only one other person besides the people here knows about it, and I'd prefer to keep it that way."

Another nod from the traveling pair.

"Number 3: talk only when you need to, and DO NOT add any excess words," Yue gave Paimon a poignant glare.

"Paimon feels like these are targeted at her."

"That's because they are."

Snorts came from Lumine and Xiao.

"Hey! This is Paimonism! Wait where are you going? You can't leave! YUE!"

And so Yue sprinted down the cliff with an angry Paimon behind her, with Lumine trying to catch up and Xiao lightly jogging behind them. As Yue got closer to the bottom of the hill, she pulled out her bow in preparation for the water she'd need to cross.

"Haha! Paimon's got you now!"

Yue pulled back her bow string and shot it down at the water, freezing it and leaving a slack jawed Paimon to watch as she ran to the statue.

"Bet you didn't see that one coming, huh?" Yue snickered. Xiao had dashed across in the meantime, as Lumine looked at Paimon, then the water, and then the two Liyuens.

"Am I supposed to swim across?" the Traveler grimaced.

Yue charged her bow again and shot it at the water, letting Lumine run across with Paimon in her arms before giving her a thumbs up.

"Thanks Yue! But, um, couldn't we have just gone around this?"

"No," Xiao finally added to the conversation, "This is a Statue of the Seven, and from what Yue tells me, it's what gives you your powers."
