Thank you all so much for your feedback and support. I took some time to deliberate with everyone's comments in mind and I've come to the decision that I will be discontinuing WWSGB. I'm sorry if I'm disappointing you with that decision, but honestly there are a lot of reasons why:

As mentioned previously, during the latter half of Inazuma and all of Sumeru, I had immense Genshin burnoutI no longer have much interest in Xiao as a character. He was hard enough to write when I enjoyed him, so forcing myself to write not only him, but a romance with him would've been nigh impossibleI can barely remember where I wanted this story to go. Looking back the plot was... not great, and I should've planned and written it out beforehand. As it stands I just completely forget where I was going

But I did promise you guys a summary of where the story would have gone, so here's what little I can remember:

Yue panics as she tries to secretly plan an emergency evacuation of Liyue Harbor so no one gets hurt
The original ending was Yue using too much adeptal energy (or something like that) and returning home, giving Ganyu her body back, but that changed because I wanted Inazuma and Chasm shenanigans
Yue attends the meeting between the Harbingers and Zhongli, ominously standing in the background and giving weird looks to La Signora since she's going to die soon
First Dragonspine event (The Chalk Prince and the Dragon) and Unreconciled Stars (1.1 Event) would've happened sometime around here. The plot's wouldn't have changed, but Yue would become friends with Fischl and Mona, meanwhile Albedo finally catches on that something's up with Yue
After this would've probably been Latern Rite. Xiao hadn't been to any since the one he went to with Yue, but he had Verr Goldet and Smiley Yanxiao bring him a lantern each year to light in hopes of Yue's return.
Windblume would've been soon after, Yue and Xiao would've gone because Venti convinced (read: begged drunkenly) Zhongli to let them over so he could meet his new niece
Then it's Azdaha time! Yue knows her limits and would stay far away, but would check in on Lumine and Zhongli right after the fight
Unfortunately, Yue and Xiao wouldn't have gone to the Golden Apple Archipelago. Had Chenyu Vale been around at the time, I might've decided to send them there for a chapter as summer vacation
And finally, we get into Inazuma with the Crux Competition. Yue convinces Ningguang to let her go to discuss more consistent trades between Inazuma and Liyue and arrives with Lumine. As a diplomat, Ganyu was afforded more privileges than Lumine and was able to go right to Inazuma City to have a discussion with parts of the Tri-Commission
Yue probably meets Sara here, and in order to find common ground and make negotiations easier (cause the Tri-Commission was stubborn) she asks Sara to teach her archery. It's through this she learns more about the civil war in Inazuma and how it's actually affecting people unlike in game
Probably meets Yae Miko at Yae Publishing House when looking for a book to read. Yue definitely doesn't become inspiration for the publishing house's next protagonist's design
Yue then somehow gets roped into the whole "Let's overthrow the Shogun!" thing that's happening, even though she's trying to keep the peace. This probably happens when Sara finds out about the Fatui's dealings
Yue helps Lumine beat La Signora, then tries to help her escape. Kazuha gets his moment, Lumine goes to fight Raiden, Yue's left to try and calm down everyone in Inazuma City. She's panicking though, so Venti carries her voice on the wind and Xiao comes and calms people down via intimidation (even though he's like 5 feet tall, don't question it)
Hurray! Inazuma's saved! Yue and Xiao are sent back to Liyue with a marginally better relationship with the Tri-Commission to show for it
Filler chapters, fluff probably, more real Ganyu crumbs, probably covers 2.x events
Then we get to the Chasm. Yue's trying to meet up with Yelan but runs right into Lumine during her Dainsleif quest. She would get injured by one of the soldiers or an Abyss Herald (whatever you fight at the end of the quest I forget) and Yue would start dying (Thanks Natlan for confirming that's a thing). We love to see it
Obviously she doesn't tell anyone and Xiao chalks up the weird energy to just being in the Chasm for a prolonged period of time. Zhongli catches on though and is like "What are you planning to do?" and Yue's like "My best :D"
Then the ACTUAL Chasm quest with Yanfei and the gang happen, but this time featuring Yue. Much like the hilichurls, the Chasm brings a weird sense of peace to the Abyssal Corruption running through her veins. The quest continues mostly the same, but after they get out of the Chasm, being surrounded by so many angry spirits and the stress of Xiao sacrificing himself (she doesn't know he'll be okay, she got transported either late 1.x patches or early 2.x patches) causes the corruption run rampant
Xiao refuses to hurt her and is trying to convince the others that there has to be away to bring her back, Yanfei and Kuki don't know her well enough to really say anything, Itto and Paimon believe him, meanwhile Yelan and Lumine are like "no we need to do something"
Given how much energy Xiao just used, he's exhausted so Lumine keeps him distracted while Yelan goes for the kill. Bullseye. Yue crumples to the ground and the Hydro arrow disappears with the Abyssal corruption. She still has a pulse though, so Xiao rushes her to Bubu Pharmacy, with the rest of the group sprinting to catch up
A few weeks pass and Yue wakes up. Xiao bursts into the room and immediately hugs her, thanking Rex Lapis that Yue was safe and that Yue was an idiot and should've told him
"Who's Yue?"

Angst I know! I'm a sucker for it personally, but I would've had an epilogue where we see Yue in her normal life. She had a really weird dream in class one day, but can't remember it. It's all fuzzy but she remembers being sad, happy, loved. It doesn't matter though, she's got school, which has been the same for years until...

"Class, we have a new student. Please welcome her and treat her well. Would you please introduce yourself to the class?"

Yue yawned and continued to look out the window, uninterested in her new classmate that would turn out to be like all the rest.

"Sure!"

Wait...

"My name's Lumine!" her new blonde classmate said, "And I'm Yue's friend!"

There would've been a possibility of a spin off with Yue and Lumine's shenanigans in the modern world, but that was only ever if I finished the story and got to that point, haha.

And that's it! There are a few things I should address before I go though:

If YOU (YES YOU) want to write your own version of WWSGB, then by all means, go ahead! This one will stay up, but I won't stop you from rewriting or continuing the story if that's what you want. All I ask is that you credit me somewhere :)
