A Talk - A/N

Hi.

It's been a while, two years to be exact. I keep responding to comments, saying that I'll try to update soon but that's been a lie, and I'm sorry for that.

The tail end of Inazuma and all of Sumeru really just made me not enjoy Genshin Impact. The characters weren't that interesting to me, nor were the events or areas released (don't look at my desert exploration lol), and that contributed a lot to my writer's block. Fontaine got my interest in the game back and I was finally having fun again, and I'm really excited for Natlan's release tomorrow. That's kind of wild to think about. I was a freshman in high school when I started this fanfiction, when only Mondstadt and Liyue were in the game, now I'm going into college and Natlan's releasing.

Some of you might be wonder what the fate of WWSGB is, and the simple answer is: I don't know. My interest in the game and in this fic is decreased from what it was in 2021, and maybe you could tell, but I stopped having fun writing this towards my last few updates. I had even lost most of my interest in Xiao as a character (blasphemous, I know) I kept going though because I didn't want to be one of those authors that just leave their readers high and dry. Look where we ended up.

So, I'm going to ask for your guys' opinions on the fate of WWSGB (And for my Wattpad readers, there are more chapters on AO3 if you guys want more content before making your decision):

1) Discontinue the story, leave it unfinished but give you guys one final chapter telling you where the plot would have gone (to the best of my recollection)
2) Attempt to continue the story from where I left off and finish to the best of my ability
or 3) A rewrite. A rebuild of the story with (hopefully) better writing, with more time between updates but longer chapters to make up for it.

I'm so sorry for the inactivity through these past two years, but in honor of Natlan's release and the Incandescent Ode of Resurrection (From: Teyvat Story Chapter Trailer), I figured now was as good a time as any. Thank you all for your continued love and support of 14 year old me's cringey writing. Here's to the past, and to a bright future.
