----- THIRD PERSON POV -----

When Louis got back to the dorm the first thing he did was go to the bathroom and take a second shower of the day.

He walked over to the shower and turned it on, when the water got hot enough, he stepped inside letting the water pour down his body. He stood under the shower for a while before reaching out and coating his hair in shampoo. After he had rinsed through his hair, he washed his body with the vanilla flavoured body wash that was most probably Liam's. He turned the shower back off and stepped out wrapping a light grey towel around his waist before going over to the sink and brushing his teeth. Once he'd brushed his teeth, he styled his hair by pushing it towards the side of his forehead.

He walked out of the bathroom and over to his wardrobe, he pulled out a pair of black boxers sliding them onto his legs and pulling them up. He then pulled out a pair of his many, skinny, black jeans, he slipped his feet into them and pulled them up before zipping and buttoning them. After he pulled a light blue button up out of his wardrobe and slipped his arms into the sleeve and buttoned all buttons apart from the very top. He walked over to his desk picking up his nicest smelling Calvin Klein cologne, spraying it on to his neck and wrists. He rummaged through his desk draw finding a pair of white socks, he slid them over his feet before pushing his feet into his all-black vans.

By the time he'd put his shoes on, grabbed his phone and wallet there was a knock at the door. He walked over opening the door to find Harry stood behind wearing a pair of black, skinny jeans, a white silk button up was pulled over his shoulder only buttoned from halfway down exposing his chest and tattoos. He had a large grey zip up jacket hanging on his shoulders. In one hand he was holding a bunch of flowers – sunflowers and roses – that he handed over to Louis and in the other he was holding a wooden basket.

"Harry," Louis breathed out.

"Louis. These are for you," Harry smiled.

"They're beautiful," Louis said, taking them from harry finding a large jar, filling it with water and placing the flowers inside.

"Are you ready to go?"

"Yes, lets."

Walking out of the room and locking the door behind them he walked alongside harry inching to reach out and grab his hand. Harry must have been able to read his thoughts because not even a second later her reached out and grabbed Louis hand. Louis smiled and blushed before looking down at the ground.

"Haz?" Louis questioned.

"Yeah Lou?" Harry replied.

"Where are we going," he was curious, I mean who could blame him, he was going on a date with Harry. It had been at least a year since he last went on a date, longer since the last time he'd kissed someone. All the 'what ifs' were passing through Louis mind, 'what if he doesn't like me?' 'what if I'm not what he wants?' 'what if he is just using me?'.

"It's a surprise," Harry replied pulling Louis back out of his thoughts.

"Ugh, fine but how long until were there?" okay so maybe Louis was a little impatient around Harry.

"About 20 minutes, you good with walking?"

"Yeah, fine."

They walked the 20 minutes to the park at the edge of town. They laughed and joked with each other while they walked, just enjoying one another's company.

When they got there Harry laid a fluffy blue blanket down placing the basket on top and slowly pulling out food.

"You made us a picnic?" Louis cooed.

"Yeah, hope it's okay, thought we could have a picnic under the stars?"

"I love it, Haz, thank you."

"No need to thank me, I just wanted to get to know you more. So, tell me about yourself, things I don't already know."

"Uhm, okay," Louis started, "My parents were my best friends for the first five years of my life, I was never closer to one, it was equal. But you know how I is with a dad and his son, well until he became an alcoholic that was. You see he lost his job," Louis sighed, "he didn't take it very well and began drinking every night. He didn't really pay much attention to me after that. Mum then got pregnant with Lottie and he sobered up, he was in my life more again," he breathed out, "We were never as close again, but he was there, every football game, every school activity, every parents evening and every story was told to him first," he sniffled, "And then Felicite came into the picture, she was his child but he struggled with her, not so much her as a person but the idea of having three children. He stayed in her life until she was three and then up and left a month after her birthday. Lots and Fiz didn't really know what it meant, they just knew he was gone and so was mum, she didn't leave her room for a year. I was left to look after the girls, with Lottie at school, Fiz at nursery and me at school we were okay. Mum went to work and earnt money for us but she stayed in bed until the very last second got dressed and left, when she came home she'd shower and get straight back in bed," he was starting to cry now, "I had my grandparents help but it was mainly down to me, I don't hate my dad anymore but I still blame him for a lot of things," he had to take a break to calm his breathing.

"Louis, you don't have to continue," Harry breathed out.

"I w-want to, just g-give me a minute."

Louis calmed himself down and started again, "The girls don't really remember dad especially Fiz, but I do, and I remember everything that happened, from him being an alcoholic to leaving to mum being locked away to me being so upset, I missed him, still do, but I'm over it. I've moved on, I've got Mark and two incredible twin sisters I wouldn't have had if he hadn't had left," he took a deep breath, "I think that's everything."

"I'm happy you told me Lou. I'm so proud of you."

"Thank you, it means a lot."

They sat under the stars for three hours, talking, laughing, and joking with one another. Slowly moving closer when they didn't think that the other was paying attention.

They both knew.
