----- HARRY'S POV -----
Me and Louis headed back to my room finally settling on watching Shrek.
Just as Louis was picking up the controller to change to film two, I caught his hand, "Lou?" I whispered. He looked down at our joined hands and I sheepishly dropped it.
"Yeah?" He replied searching my face for something I wasn't sure of.
"Why was Stan so upset earlier?"
"Oh, uh."
"You don't have to tell me, I'm just curious?"
"No, it's fine. I'm surprised you don't already know to be fair."
"Me and Stan have never really spoke if you couldn't tell, he's hated me since he first heard that stupid rumour."
"Which rumour?" I knew this was coming, I just didn't know if I was ready to tell him.
"Someone started a rumour that I was sleeping with this girl – Kelly, she wa-"
"Kelly? As in Stan's girlfriend?" He cut me off.
"Girlfriend? No? Stan has a girlfriend?"
"Yes, Kelly Jamison?"
"No, they weren't together?"
"They were, still are in fact?"
"What?"
"Kelly is part of the reason Stan moved here, that and the fact he wanted to try and mend things with his dad."
"Well, shit. How long for?"
"Since they were 15? She got transferred to our school when her parents moved to Doncaster. Her and Stan hit it off straight away, been together ever since."
"So that's why he hates me so much he thinks I slept with his girl."
"Yeah, probably. What I wanna know though is why she didn't tell him the truth?"
"That one I can't tell you. But anyway, why was he so upset?" I questioned, slowly moving closer to Louis.
"Oh, yeah, well when he was young, like baby young, his parents got a divorce. Him and his mum moved to Doncaster from Manchester to get away from his dad. That's where we met. For as long as both me and Stan can remember he'd always gone out with his dad on a Thursday, he'd travel down to Doncaster just to take him out for tea. When Stan turned 14, his dad stopped turning up," he started, "There was a week where our football practice had been switched to a Thursday, Stan was miserable, like I'd literally never seen him so upset. So, I confronted him about it, he broke down and told me everything. From then on, we'd go to the diner down the street from our house, we'd talk and laugh for over two hours, afterwards we'd either go to our separate houses, both end up at Stan's or we'd both end up at mine. It's been that way every week on a Thursday for the past five years. Thursday was Stan's day, no matter what homework I had due in, no matter if football practice had been moved to a Thursday, it was Stan's day! Still is, I just forgot."
----- LOUIS' POV -----
I finished explaining Stan's story to Harry, noticing the tears Harry was now trying to hide. "Harry?" I questioned.
"I-I'm f-fine." He coughed out.
It didn't take me more than a second to reach over and pull him into a hug, "H, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"
"I-I know how Stan feels."
"What do you mean?"
"M-m-my... h-he... t-thirteen," he spluttered.
I struggled to understand anything he was saying and just pulled him closer to my chest asking, "Haz, calm down and then tell me," my hand slowly smoothed up and down his back until his breathing became normal, he pulled away slightly to look up at me.
"My dad, he did the same."
"Can you explain?" I had a pretty good idea of what he meant but it still didn't hurt to ask, after all I went through the same.
"When I was thirteen my mum and dad got a divorce, he said he'd come see me and Gemma weekly, and he did for a month. I haven't heard from him since though. Neither have Gem's and mum. I didn't think I was too bothered by it but clearly by this," he motioned towards my salty tear-filled shirt, "I'm very bothered."
"Oh, H. Wanna know something?"
"Uhm, yeah?"
"My dad left me too."
"W-when?"
"I was nearly 13, Lottie was 5 and Fiz was 3," I started, "It meant that I had to grow up fast and I had to be there for Lots and Fiz. My mum was upset, and she didn't really leave her room other than for work to support us kids for nearly a year. Me, Lottie and Felicite did everything together. I'd be the one to cook, clean, take them to school and pick them up. It stayed that way until mum decided she was done being sad and came to the park with me, Lots and Fiz that's where she met Mark," I finished answering the question I knew he'd ask next.
"Who's Mark?"
"He's my dad, well stepdad. He's the twin's dad."
"I'm sorry you had to go through that Lou."
"Nah, it's okay, everything worked out for the better. I got two absolutely adorable twin sisters out of it. I wouldn't have it any other way!" I smiled.
"Yeah," he responded with sleep lacing his voice, still leaning on my chest.
"Haz? Are you falling asleep?"
"Mhm," he yawned out.
"Oh, okay," I tried moving him off of me, but he just wrapped his arms around me tighter mumbling, "Stay, you're warm." And who was I to argue with an adorable curly haired, 6Ft boy who I was sure I was slowly beginning to fall for.
A/N: Slightly shorter chapter but not by much, also i've got 37 chapters written and I don't wanna write anymore knowing it's coming to an end :(
