Chapter Sixty-Three - The Party

Once they arrived at the venue, they headed into the function room where the party was going to take place. The fairy lights were all turned on illuminating the room in a golden glow. They smiled out at the white tables, each with a vase and pink lilies inside, tall white chairs pushed in. They looked over to the food table, seeing the cake Zayn had brought, a white three-tiered cake, the first layer had pink roses dotted around, the second covered in pink peonies and the third had pink lilies dotted on. Sticking out from the top an icing bouquet of yellow sunflowers. The disco ball reflected from the lights and hit the floor in beams as it span. The waiters getting into place dotted in areas around the room with glasses of champagne for the adults and coke for the children. The balloon arch stood directly across from Harry and Louis, a beautiful pattern of white, sliver, pink, and golden balloons. Next to the arch floated the balloons they'd bought the previous week for Harry and Louis' surprise arrival. Sprinkled across the floor were multicoloured blown up balloons. in the far corner stood a person a tall table and a laptop, he saw them arrive and started playing the songs from the USB he'd been handed earlier.

Johannah and Mark walked in and found the table in the centre of the room at the edge of the dance floor, the only table that seated twelve. The boys followed shortly after claiming a seat around the table. they placed their jackets and bags on the chairs and took a glass of champagne each from a waiter. They sat talking waiting for the first guests to arrive.

Around twenty minutes later the first guests arrived, the grandparents on both sides, they walked over and hugged Johannah, Mark, Harry, and Louis, they shook hands with Zayn before going to find a table together.

The next people to arrive were three of Louis' aunts and uncles, cousins include, they all said hello before dispersing into the open space.

Harry's mum and Gemma were the next to arrive walking over and hugging Harry. Zayn, and Louis before introducing themselves to Johannah and Mark. They went to find a table as a groups of Lottie and Felicite's school friends walked in with their parents.

Some more aunts, uncles and cousins arrived. As well as a few more of their school friends. When Louis received a text from Liam stating they were just heading back to Louis' now to get ready, Louis said goodbye to his parents and the boys and walked out to get in his car. After he was in the car he drove back home to pick up the twins and make sure the older girls had their dresses.

When he got home he saw the twins in the living in matching dresses, Phoebes was a blue, short and foley dress with a small bow while Daisy had a blue matching one. They each had a pair of white ballet shoes on their feet and small white frilly socks. Phoebe had half of her hair up and the rest down, it was curled. Daisy had hers tied back in a braid with a blue bow at the bottom.

He walked into the room and hugged the girls before whispering, "Ready to go?" The twins nodded. Louis made sure the girls had their dresses and told Liam and Niall that he'd see them at the venue in twenty. When everything was sorted Louis and the younger girls headed out to the car and drove back to the venue.

Twenty minutes later Liam was messaging to say that they were outside. Louis alerted everyone and got them positioned in a semi-circle around the entrance. Two minutes later the doors were being opened and Niall, Liam, Lottie, and Felicite were walking insde, complaining about the blindfoldeds. Louis stared at his sisters, the brightest smile on his face when he saw Lottie's floor length, ruffled navy-blue dress, sparkles across the complete top of the dress. Felicite's a similar floor length dress, hers was red and had a full body of sparkles. The girls had been asked to pick their dresses out a couple weeks back being told they were going to a wedding today. Instead, here they were stood Infront of all of their families and friends in their dresses for a special surprise birthday. Louis was knocked out of his thoughts when Lottie spoke up, "Liam so help me god if you do not remove this blindfold in the next three seconds I will kick you." Liam and Niall laughed before counting down from three and pulling the blindfolds away.

The room erupted in a chorus of, "SURPRISE!"

The girls stood at the entrance, slowly blinking out at the room. Felicite's face turned into a slow but happy smile, Lottie's following shortly behind. They immediately walked across the room and hugged their parents before walking to hug the others in the room.

An hour later they all gathered around the cake. A thirteen candle was lit first, and they sang through Happy Birthday for Lottie. Afterwards an eleven candle was lit, and they sang through Happy Birthday for Felicite.

They all spent the next two and a half hours, dancing, drinking, and talking with one another. The four girls insisted on introducing Harry to all of their school friends.

At around half past nine Louis walked around to find Harry, he saw him stood talking with the other boys. Louis walked up to Harry and wrapped his arm around the boys waist before speaking, "Do you mind if I steal him to talk?"

The boys replied with, "Yes." And Louis proceeded to walk Harry away.

When they got to a secluded corner, glasses of champagne in hand Louis spoke up, "So, I know that today was Lottie and Fizzy's day, but I wanna take you out, wine and dine you? so, what I'm asking is, Harry will you go on a date with me tonight," Louis said with a shy smile.

"Of course, I would love to go on a date with you," Harry returned the smile.

"There's a restaurant booked for eleven under Tomlinson, find me after the party?"

"Yeah, yeah I will," Harry hesitated, "unless, Lou, do you wanna dance with me?" He said as a slow song started, I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston.

"I would love too, darling," Louis said as he reached his hand out to Harry, the younger boy gripped his hand and they walked onto the dance floor, together, surrounded by other couples. Louis gently placed his hands around Harry's waist as Harry looped his hands round the back of Louis' neck. They slowly swayed side to side as the music played.

Halfway through the song, Harry leaned in and wrapped his arms tighter around Louis pulling him closer so that they were pressed chest to chest and Harry's head was resting on the older boys shoulder. Louis placed a soft kiss behind Harry's ear before whispering, "I will always love you," along with the song followed by an added, "more than anything."

Harry smiled softly and squeezed Louis, "I love you too." They stood dancing throughout the whole song. When the song finished, Louis was pulled away by his twin sisters and Harry went to find himself another drink.

Forty minutes later everyone was leaving, the staff had started to tidy the place. The delivery people had come and taken the disco ball. The fairy lights hand been taken down and packed back away into Louis' car. The streamers and banners in Louis' car too. The balloons had been put into the back of Liam's car and the delivery service had taken the balloon arch back to Johannah and Mark's, they had already eft to get the girls home. The cake placed securely in a box on Johannah's knee. Once everyone had left and the place was packed up Liam, Niall, and Zayn headed back to Louis' to take the balloons back before heading to their hotel. Louis and Harry on the other hand, headed for their date.
