Chapter Fifty-Nine - Presents!

Harry and Louis walked down the stairs to the sound of people talking in the kitchen. When they walked through the door they saw the entirety of Louis' family sat around the table, pancakes and bacon and eggs and syrup on different plates and bowls spread across the table. They both sat down on the two spear seats in between Lottie and Felicite, Louis next to Lottie and Harry next to Felicite, as they sat down Louis caught a glance of the time, nine o'clock. 'Not bad' he thought to himself knowing Lottie has been known to get them up at six on her birthday. The eight of them tucked into the breakfast food that Johannah had prepared.

An hour later they all made their way through to the living room so that they could give Lottie her presents.

Johannah and Mark went first. They handed her a large present and Lottie ripped the shiny, purple wrapping away of one of the presents revealing a new set of bedding, it was pink and purple tie dye with black outlines of different animals. Next they handed her a thin rectangle, Lottie tore the paper away revealing an animal colouring book. Lottie was handed a blue sparkly bag next, she opened it to reveal a pair of leggings, jeans and two new t-shirts. Finally, Mark handed her two cards. She pulled open one of the envelopes and looked at the cards, it read, 'To a very special daughter on her very special day!' in gold swirly writing on a plain white background. When she opened it twenty-five pound fell out, Lottie read the inside aloud, 'To Lottie, The Happiest of Birthdays, Love from Mark xxx'. Lottie thanked Mark before opening the next envelope. The front read, 'Today is your day!' in pink cursive with a light blue background and a small teddy bear in the bottom left corner. When she opened it another twenty-five pounds slipped out, she smiled and read the inside aloud, 'To Lotte, Happy 13th Birthday, Love you to the moon and back, Mum xxx'. Lottie stood up and hugged both Johannah and Mark before walking over and placing the cards on the mantel piece.

Felicite, Daisy and Phoebe were next, they each handed Lottie an envelope. She opened them one at a time thanking the girls. They then handed her a wrapped present. She tore away the teal wrapping paper revealing a fluffy grey blanket. Lottie thanked the girls and hugged them. Not expecting anything more from them later.

Harry was next, he handed Lottie a pile of presents with a thin yellow envelope on the top. Lottie took the presents, thanking him before beginning to open them. She carefully opened the envelope first looking at h=it before opening it, a ten-pound note fell out and she smiled as she read over the words. Next she opened the small parcel wrapped in gold wrapping paper, it opened to reveal her favourite ted baker perfume, she smiled up at Harry before opening the larger parcel, which was a lilac jumper similar to one of which Harry wore when Lottie visited Manchester. Lottie thanked Harry and got up to place the four cards on the mantel.

Louis was the last to give Lottie her presents. "So, Lottie, this one. It's a joint present from me and Harry."

Lottie took the parcel and carefully pulled open the silver paper. She gasped and looked at the boys when she saw the top of an iPhone seven plus box, "What?"

"Well, you're thirteen and your phone broke so me and Harry thought you'd like a new phone."

Lottie launched herself at Louis and Harry, "Thank you, thank you, thank you."

"It's okay, love. Here," Louis handed her the rest of the presents, "Let me set it up while you open these."

Lottie nodded and handed Louis the phone. When Louis had a hold of the phone Lottie opened the large present to reveal a calendar with a different animal for each month. Then she opened the smaller present to see a phone case with a large blue dinosaur and a small green dinosaur with its mouth open on the larger ones back. Finally, Lottie opened the card, she read the outside and then the inside thirty pound slipped out. Lottie thanked her family one last time before they settled in to watch a movie before going to have dinner as a family, Johannah had prepared snacks and sandwich's for them to eat. They piled their plates and sat around the table laughing and joking. After eating they watched another movie before playing a few games of, monopoly, twister and Cluedo. After the games they all headed up stairs to freshen up and h=get ready to go out for a meal at the Italian place down the street.

At half past four they were all ready to leave, Louis, Harry and the twins went in Louis' car and the others in Mark's company car.

They were meeting their grandparents at the restaurant. They walked inside and found the reserved table with, Jackie, Joseph, Mary, and Alexander were already sat. they filled around the twelve-seater table and Lottie was handed her presents. From Mark's parents she received a set of bath bomb and forty pound in the card. From Johannah's parents she received a pandora bracelet with a mickey mouse charm already attached.

Louis, Felicite, Phoebe, and Daisy handed Lottie their last presents. From felicite she got a sister charm, from Daisy she got an elephant, from Phoebe she got her birthstone and from Louis she got a little dinosaur dangle charm.

They all order their food and drink and spent the next two hours talking, joking and having fun.

They got home at seven and did the cake. A shop bought chocolate cake as they were having a more extravagant cake for the surprise party. After they'd all had a piece of cake their grandparents headed home, and they headed to bed.

Louis and Harry stripped to their boxers once they were in Louis' room. They crawled into bed and Louis rested his head on Harry's chest, he turned his head slightly and placed a kiss to his lips, "I love you, Harry," he whispered.

Harry smiled down at him and kissed him again, "I love you too," he whispered before deepening the kiss.

They both fell asleep shortly after, pressed close to one another and a smile on each of their faces.

A/N: I don't know anything about grandparents, so I made them up. Also double update as I didn't upload on the 19th, enjoy.
