"Good morning you 2 love birds," I hear my mom say.

"Morning mom," I say.

"How was your birthday yesterday?" My mom asks.

"It was good. Mully stayed the night," I say.

"I can see that," she says.

"Oh yeah," I say.

"It's nice to see you again," Mully says.

"You have such nice manners. I'm glad you're Josh's soulmate. How did your parents react?" My mom asks.

"I, uh, haven't told them yet," Mully says. "They won't react well."

"I'm sorry to hear that," she says.

"They didn't even realize that it was my birthday yesterday," he says.

"Well, whenever you need to get out of the house, you can always come here," my mom says.

"Thank you. I will be sure to," Mully says.

"You're basically my other son now anyway," she says.

"Ok mom. Can I have him now?" I ask.

"Yes sweetie," she kisses me on the forehead and then leaves.

"Sorry," I say.

"It's ok. It's nice to be treated like I exist by a parent," he says.

"She wasn't lying," I say. "You can stay here whenever you need to."

"I do that anyway," Mully says. "The amount of times I've climbed through your window at 11 at night is tremendous."

"I know," I say. "I'm always awoken by the thump."

"If I did anything else other than that, you'd think you're being robbed," he says.

"Either way I think I'm being robbed," I say.

"Just think. When we live together, I won't have to climb through the window," he says.

"When we live together?" I ask.

"Yeah. Well, I mean you want to right? We're soulmates so..."

"Yeah I was just surprised you're thinking that far ahead," I say.

"I'm always thinking that far ahead," he says. "I can't wait to make it out of the hell hole I call my house."

"Oh yeah," I say.

"But yeah I want to live together," he says.

"Living together it is," I smile at him and he gives a big smile back.
