Newt lead me to the tree we were in last night.
"So, when are you planning to tell Ben" New asked
"He'll figure it out soon enough" I replied
"Don't you want him to know?" he frowned
I didn't answer, I climbed up the tree all the way to the point where I was hidden from him.
"We are going to have to build you a little house up there" he grinned
"I would like that" I said
Newt climbed up right next to me, due to the fact that the branches were so close we were shoulder to shoulder. Something about it felt so right. Unaware of how dazed I was I took a step back, completely missing the branch. I would have fallen but Newt grabbed on to me and pulled me into his chest.
"Don't go falling for me now" he laughed
I didn't say anything, I just climbed down and left. I don't know what I was thinking, there is no time for romance.
"Pull yourself together" I whispered to myself
I walked all the way to Homestead, not aware that Newt had followed me.
"Hey did I do something wrong?" he asked grabbing my arm
"No" I said
"Then what's up with you, you look flustered and annoyed." he looked down
"Gee thanks" I answered "Ok I'm sorry, it's just this is all new and it's a lot"
"I get that" he smiled "let me introduce you to the guys"
I nodded. He walked me to the picnic tables and sat down.
"Minho, Chuck, this is Eloise"
"Heyyyyy want to hear my stories" chuck asked
He couldn't be more than 13 poor soul.
"Sure" I replied laughing
"Chuck shut up, hi I'm Minho" Minho said
"If you ever to tell Chuck to shut up again I will knee you so hard you'll pass out" I said coldly
"Oh-i" Minho began
"Chuck, come hang out with me over by the fields" I interrupted
"Yay, I can tell you all my stories. So the first one is about pirates and they.... "
I hung with Chuck for a while ignoring all the gladers looking at me. Some bad looks, some good. Eventually Chuck got tired and told me to go back to Newt because Breakfast just started.
"I'm back" I said loudly
"Eloise, I didn't mean it like that ok? That's how we play around here, I love Chuck I would never hurt his feelings like that" Minho started
"Ok, ok I got it chill" I laughed
I looked over to see where Chuck went, the older boys were making fun of him and throwing his stuff around.
For some reason that angered something in me, I stormed over to the guys.
"HEY" I screamed at all the gladers "LET ME MAKE SOMETHING CLEAR, IF ANY OF YOU TRY TO MESS WITH CHUCK YOU WON'T LIKE THE OUTCOME, GOT IT"
The glade went silent
"That's what I thought, come eat with us Chuck"
We went over to the table
"That was hot" Minho said
"I'm gonna give you a nickname Minho" I gasped "I know! Minhoe"
"What the shuck no give me something cool"
"Nope Minhoe it is, Chuck what do you want your nickname to be?"
"I want just Chuck, I don't like nicknames" He gave me a sour face
"Haha alright" I laughed
"What about me?" Newt asked
"Shut it blondie" I replied smiling
"Gross get a room" Minho fake barfed
"So who are the keepers" I asked ignoring Minhoes remark
"Minho is the keeper of the runners, Frypan is the keeper of the cooks, Winston is the keeper of the slicer, Zart is the keeper of the track-hoes, Clint is the keeper of the med-jacks, Billy is the keeper of the baggers, Hayden is the keeper of the sloppers, Jack is the keeper of the brickniks, and the ugly slinthead Gally is the keepers of the builders. "
"What in the hell is slinthead" I muttered
Newt heard me
"We have slang here, slinthead is like all the bad words put together"
"God this place is weird" I shuddered "so who is this Gally you all hate so much"
All of them pointed to a table with a bunch of muscular guys.
"Gallys the one with the weird eyebrows" Chuck whispered
I burst out laughing, I could not stop for the life of me. All the guys turned to stare until Gally got up and walked over
"What is so funny greenie" Gally asked raising his eyebrows
This just made me laugh more.
"Your-your eyebrows" I got out still dying in fits of laughter
"Slim it greenie" he said his face turning red
"Or what" I replied
Surprisingly he smiled
"You'll find out later, I mean there can really only be one reason they sent you here" he said
"And would that be" I asked still laughing
"Reproduction" he said smirking
hey guys so I might take a little break, it doesn't look like a lot of people are enjoying this book a lot and I don't want to continue something you guys don't like. I appreciate every single read and I want you to know that I will keep writing even if it's only 2 people reading it but if you wouldn't mind commenting any request or things to make my writing better I would really appreciate it. I just can't tell if you all actually like it and if you don't that's ok too but like I said I don't want to continue something no one like. Thanks for reading!
