Marro stilled and couldn't found the right word to say.
"Tito!" Ingrid exclaimed.
Nakatulala kasi ang tiyuhin sa kaniya. Naihilamos nito ang dalawang palad sa mukha.
"Pumasok ka, Ingrid. I'll explain everything to you," he finally said after recovering from the shock.
"What are these?"
"You lied to me? Why... Why did you do that?" Her voice quivered from the emotion she wanted to suppress.
"I don't want to. I tried to tell you. I even brought you to a psychiatrist when you were eight." His voice trembled. "You see, I'm one of the investigators. I have no choice back then. I have to force you to remember..."
"Remember? Ano'ng dapat kong maalala?" Salo ni Ingrid sa sinasabi ng tiyuhin. Nagusot niya ang hawak na mga papel.
"You were at the incident, Ingrid. You're the sole witness of the crime. That scar on your chest, it's from the operation to take out the bullet," mahabang paliwanag ni Marro sa kaniya.
"So, iyong mga sudden flashback na nagiging dahilan ng pagkawala ko ng malay, it wasn't an illusion?" She bit her lips to stop herself from sobbing.
He bent to level their face.
"It's only you who can answer that. Until now, I have been collecting possible evidence. They declared a lack of evidence and no suspect, to begin with, kaya pinabayaan ang kaso. Ikaw lang ang tanging pag-asa para masolve ang kaso ninyo ng mommy mo," he said with eyes pleading.

You were at the incident, Ingrid. You're the sole witness of the crime.
Like a broken record, it played repeatedly in her head.
Ingrid inhaled a huge amount of sugary, fresh air. This place was her escaped from the crowd. Her untied hair swayed freely as the wind blew towards her face.
The Banaba in full bloom blossoms, with those beautiful lavender flowers, were aligned with the school's elevated wall. The school's wide quadrangle was in vibrant emerald.
Some were just idly strolling while some were playing chase.
