We meet again. -Lachambers

Gordie's house.

-(Gordie POV)-

It had been 5 whole days since i had seen Chris Chambers.He had missed our math and english test it was only 2 weeks until summer and then we all start 7th grade.I couldn't wait until then becuase Denny said he would definitely getting his jeep by then and we could go camping and all sorts together since dad never took me when he went with Denny.

It's now Thursday and still no sight of Chris,i'm guessing something bad happened.Me ,Teddy and Vern were walking to school when i spotted Chris but with another person,he was with his brother and Ace Merrill.I can't possibly think a reason up for him to be with them other than the face that eyeball and him were brothers.Maybe they were just walking him to school.Teddy and Vern stopped to go in the shop while i stood outside observing chris.It seemed his brother was not taking him to school he was just following Ace who was just picking on Chris.They weren't doing much other than insulting him then Ace whispered something in his ear and Chris' expression fully changed, he turned around to punch or slap Ace but Ace managed to get his hand and he must've started puttig pressure on it because Chris started whining.That's when I strutted up to them and tried to tell them to stop.

"Leave him alone man you're hurting him!" I shrieked  in a high pitched voice.

"Go away kid"Eyeball said pushing Chris to Ace.

"Stop picking on him guys he just wants to walk away"I whimpered.

"Shut up you little fag,go off with your other fag friends and leave this one to us for today before you get your face all messed up"Ace said subtly.

Chris mouthed "go away" but i couldn't just go now i knew they were hurting him i didn't want him to get beat up like they usually beat me,Teddy and Vern,as I thought that Teddy and Vern had gotten out the shop and all i heard was Teddy screeching,

"LACHANCE,CHAMBERS FUCKING RUN!"

In the moment i thought it would be a good idea to kick Ace to get Chris' arm and drag him while we ran to school but later that day,boy did i not know the consequences.But for now i just needed to get Chris away from them and into school,luckily we made in on time,just on time.Our first lesson was history we were learning about this man called Franz Ferdinand,he had a dogey hand or something and blamed his grandmother the queen of England or something like that.I wasnt really paying attention.All I wanted to do was ask Chris ,where have you been,and are you okay.So thats what i did.

"Chris are you okay,where have you been?"I whispered while Mr Allan was teaching us.

"I'm fine,Dont worry too much Lachance,we're young..We shouldn't have to worry just yet."He said hesitantly

"Well,okay,i'm going to the treehouse by myself tonight if you want to come.My brother Denny can take you home after"I offered

"I mean yeah sure but i don't need your brother taking me to my house.."

"Oh ok-" the bell for break time went off inturrupting me we left for break and since our teacher turned out to be sick we had the after noon off so me and Chris headed to top of Castle Rock to the treehouse but on the way i went and bought some mike and ike's for eating while i make him study for the history test.While we were making our way up the street we both heard two obnoxious laughs from the corner and as we walked i got tugged back by the one and only Ace.He swung a right fist into my face and started insulting me for how i kicked him in the balls.While i was getting beat up by them all i could hear was Chris whining everytime Ace and Eyeball shoved him away from trying to help me,eventually i passed out and the two boys ran away.

-(Chris POV)-

While Ace and Eyeball ran away i started dragging Gordie to the side of the pavement asking people for help until some tall guy about 2.5 foot taller than me came running along the road.He looked worried but he also looked alot like a grown up Gordie and that's when i realised it was Gordie's older brother Denny running to help him and in a flash he grabbed him and he also started to ask what had happen frantically i replied,

"My b-brother and Ace ..They started punching him,I swear i tried to stop it they just kept on pushing me away,i promise but he passed out and they ran and i-" I ranted

"Hey,kid i believe ya,take a damn breath.We need to get him home with water and to clean his face up." he said in a nice way,which was new for me,this week 4 people had been nice to me.That's not supposed to happen..

After contmplating silently in my head me and denny had finally arrived at Gordie's house.
