We meet again. -Lachambers

"Kiss me again Chambers?"

-(Nobody's POV)-

It had been a long day, the boys and Penny had walked for miles not letting a minute go by without walking. Now the sun was falling, the moon was rising and the stars began to show. Everyone sat down still by the train tracks, but far enough to not go deaf every time the trains go by. Teddy set up by between Vern and Penny, Chris set up next to Gordie the other side of a fire Penny helped set up.
While sitting around the fire eating marshmallows the boys and Penny talked about things they thought were important before they met girls.Really ironic bearing in mind Penny was a girl but lets not think about that TOO MUCH!

"Man, what the hell is goofy?" Vern asked completely mind blown.

-(Penny's POV)-

The boys talked for a while and i just sat listening to them, Chris started handing out cigarettes and said i could have half of his since there wasn't enough for me. I thanked him and told him it's okay because i had a pack off Ponyboy from earlier on before i left. We were all smoking and talking, the sky was exceptionally beautiful tonight. I saw the sunset as we walked through this field, the different shades of orange and purples as the moon rose and sun set. Now the sky was full of stars and the moon shone over all of us. A few different shades of blue and wine purple filled the sky almost like a painting.

"Do you like the stars too?" A little voice said to me, Gordie.

"Yeah, my brother, he likes sunsets and sunrises but i like the stars. The way they shine and how they're always there for me."

"That's a nice way of seeing it, stars are very pretty the way the glow is simply amazing," he paused,"Astronomy isn't my strong suit but i do like the idea of being in space, surrounded by nothing but the stars"

"Me too Gordie, it seems calming.." i said back, we both spoke for a while after and then the guys wanted Gordie to tell a story, he said he was working on a new one so he told us all it. I guess his thing was writing.

Sometime later Gordie finished his story, it was very amusing. I felt bad for Lardass but he got his revenge so i guess all worked out; not to be mean but i thought the ending could be more fun. But never mind that, it was pretty late and i was pretty tired so i tied my hair up into a bun the best i could.It was quite messy but what can you expect i don't have a mirror. I did however regret not taking joggers to sleep in.

"I think i'm going to try get some sleep now guys," i said and they nodded, Vern got comfortable as did Teddy. Chris and Gordie were talking for a while and i fell asleep pretty soon after that.

I felt my dad's hand on my shoulder as Denny's casket was being lowered.

"That should've been you."

I let out a little whine as i woke up, Chris was on sat next to me and he looked down at me with worry.

"Hey are you okay?" He burst out.

"huh?"

"You were dreaming." I said looking back at the still burning fire.

I let out an 'Oh' as i sat up..

"Is there something else?" He said softly Chris always knew when something was wrong, i hated when i had that dream. No memory.My dad haunted me, i don't think anything has stuck with me like the things he said to me at Denny's funeral.

"It's what my dad said at Denny's funeral.. I miss him Chris, I miss Denny so much.." I let out.

"I know," He paused like he didn''t know what to say, "Try get some sleep.."
