It's So Easy Loving You

-(Nobody's POV)-

After fall came winter, during winter Chris, Gordie, Teddy, Vern and Penny went out a bit more. The boys saw les and less of Penny as she had started going around with Ace Merrill,who the boys didn't particularly want see or go around with him and the Cobras so they let her be. Chris kept giving Penny warning about how Ace and Eyeball could be,but for some reason Penny didn't really care.

December was Chris' favourite month as he could go out in the snow- he saw snow as a pure thing that couldn't be dirtied by his brother or his pals. Something him and Gordie could share together now as not only best friends but as a couple. Teddy and Vern pretty much stayed in doors during winter time because neither of them particularly liked the cold and snow. All they went out for was to either get to school or Pez.

December 24 1959
-(Chris' POV)-

I knock on the LaChance residence hoping to see Gordie's face at the door, unfortunately his dad answered and didn't seem happy to see me here with a little box covered in wrapping paper.

"Hello Mr LaChance, can I see Gordie? I just need to give him this and I can-" I tried to get my sentence out until he interrupted.

"Sorry he's already settling for bed,he can see you on the 27th at the earliest." He said sternly.

"Look I know its a bit late but-" It's only 20:37pm.

"Goodnight Chambers" he said with a hint of disgust.

Asshole. Guess I'm climbing up that tree to see him,not that I mind but i hate that man so much. So I walk around the house and struggled to climb up the tree without dropping his Christmas gift down it. I realise what I got him was small but it has memory so that makes me feel better about it.

*Knock Knock*

Gordie sat with his blue pyjama bottoms on with no top, his hair wet dripped down his back before he turned and noticed the knocking sound of me. He looked surprised,happy, to see me. I'm glad he is excited. He climbs on his bed to open the window and lets me in his bedroom, I greet him with a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey there stranger-" He says to me.

"Hello! I come bearing gifts" I say enthusiastically,"well one gift but you get the gist"

He smiles at me and sits us down on the edge of his bed,"You really didn't have to Chris.."

"Well of course I did! It's Christmas- It's also relationship stuff though so.."

-(Gordie's POV)-

"Are you sure?"I ask,"I will need to get you something then if you give me this."

"Not necessary, you are my gift." He gives me a cheeky grin before handing me my present.

"Can I open it now?"

"Of Course,I also have a little note but you can save that for later" he pulls out a folded piece of paper out of his back pocket.

As he places the note on my desk I start unwrapping a little box that contained a bracelet. The charm was an autumn leaf, like the ones where we started our relationship..Where we had our first kiss. Chris really put thought into this, I don't think anything can top something like this.
