It was silent. The music had stopped playing, Y/n and Xitlaly were staring each other down. Waiting for the other to move. On a table, a single drop of spilled champagne fell, the moment it hit the floor they were off. Y/n ran across the room and Xitlaly disappeared inside a portal. "Of course she would do that, why wouldn't she?"

Alright, Y/n think how are you going to beat her? This was a tricky situation, Immortality was one thing but the portals were the big problem. Not being able to see or hear where the enemy is coming from is scary, guess I'm going to have to rely on instincts. A couple of shots came from behind me, I avoided about three of them but the last one hit's my arm. 'Tch.' I jump onto the stage and look around, 'where is she?' Another portal appears and spins around until it spots me then disappears. 'What the?' I could feel a weird sensation coming from behind me, I turned around and saw a portal disappear. 'Why didn't she shoot me? Maybe... can she not see me while inside that portal?' To test this theory I hide under a table with a blanket over it. A portal appears it starts moving around the room, after a bit her head comes out. "Where did he go?" So I was right but even still I need her to come fully out of that portal. Killing her instantly wouldn't do me any good. I have to injure her without making the blow fatal. "Hiding isn't going to help you Y/n. I can wait all day." She retreats into her world. 'God damn it.' Fine, I can wait as well. I'm not doing anything anyway. 5 minutes pass then 10 then 20. "Hey, Y/n." Sophia was still here, somewhere. "I'm going to let you deal with this. I'm sure you want to fight her one on one but just to make sure nothing goes wrong I'll be watching you from afar." She ends the call and I can hear the sound of a door opening and closing, 'I love her. Worrying about me like that.' A portal appears and she pops her hand out, "a cat? Must be his partner. Hmm, I'll let it go seeing as it's harmless." I thought the same thing until she started clawing my face every day. She looks around then smiles, "I want to get paid by the end of the night. So I'm going to do something weird." Weird? How weird? The whole floor starts changing colors, "if you won't come out then I'll just drag you in my world." Shit! If she did that she would have total control of this fight! I jump out, the only way out is breaking through the wall. "There you are!" A smaller portal appears in front of me and she starts firing shots, 'should I dodge it? I'll dodge those two but let these four hit.' My stomach and arms both get some new holes. 'Maybe should have thought about the suit first.' I destroy the wall and jump onto the building across from us. "God those shots hurt, now I feel like an idiot."

'He's hurt, his wounds don't heal fast but there's no way I can play the long game and wait for him to bleed out.' This was a pain, he had found out that she can't see when sees in her dimension. The other bad part was that her ability only reached as far as 30 meters, she stepped out of her portal and saw him standing on top of the building waving at her. 'He's taunting me? Really? Does he think I would—!' Her arms fell to the ground, 'when did he!' She may not be going for the long game but he was. 'Fuck this hurts.' Her arms reattach themselves. She looked back up and he's gone. 'He doesn't seem like the type to run. He is around here somewhere.' She teleported to the top of the building, "hi~." He's here!?! He swung his fist but she ducked down and kicked his feet, he jumped over her and landed behind her. She rushed over and kicked his side, he blocked it and hit her in the stomach with his tail. "Tch." She pulls out a gun from a portal and fires some shots. The bullets seemingly go through him, 'an after image!?' She gets a pat on the shoulder and a fist is coming close to her face fast. She summons two portals and he ends up hitting himself, the force from the hit sends him sliding back. "Ouch." His nose started to bleed, she pulled out her AR and started firing. Thinking he would dodge she opens a portal behind him but instead he catches them all. 'Fine.' She throws her gun into a portal and rushes towards him, she gets into the stance of a boxer, every swing had enough force to send anyone flying. He either blocked or dodge them, "I think you're a little too slow." She speeds up her movement but it's no use he's just getting faster like her. He ducks under one of her swings and goes for an undercut, she begins to open a portal when suddenly hit with his other fist. The human reaction time is 250 milliseconds which is a quarter of a second, her reaction time was a little faster about 125 milliseconds. She can make a portal in the same time it takes to react but he had moved faster than she could react, she was sent flying.
