"And that's why I'm late." I had just finished explaining to Ava why I was late and hoped that she would understand that sometimes you just gotta be late bec–! "OW! What was that for?" She hit the back of my head, like, harsh dude. It didn't hurt but maybe if I act like it did she won't hit me again. "Why did I hit you? Because you idiot you know exactly when to be here!" Ava was very pissed, glad we were in the back so nobody had to see or hear this. "What do you mean, you never told me when to be here!" I shouted back, not knowing what she meant. She walked away and then came back with the help-wanted sign that was outside. "Look at the front." She said, holding back her seemingly growing rage. "Okay," It said the same thing as yesterday 'Help wanted' so I still don't understand what the sign had to do with any of this. That was until she flipped it over and in bold red said.

"YOU MORON!" She yelled, hitting me again with the sign. This time, it hurt.
"I'm not the moron you're the moron." After being yelled at for a bit, she sent me to the kitchen to do what I do best, cook. My tail was wrapped around my waist so I didn't accidentally step on it. Today was a pretty slow day, not that many people came in, guess they may still be a little scared to come here knowing that Alastor was here yesterday. Most people that did come in here were pretty nice. Most if not all of them said hi and even asked how my day was, which was nice. The only thing that sucked was that Sophia did nothing the whole time so I had to cook by myself. I tried waking her up but almost got a claw to the face. So after thinking about it, I decided to just leave her alone.
Ava, on the other hand, was taking orders, chatting with the customers, and making sure everyone felt welcomed and appreciated. She was a hard worker. For some reason though, I could hear the faint sounds of, what I could only describe as, explosives every other hour. I thought about asking but seeing how Sophia was sleeping and Ava was busy working it would be best if I just ignored it. I don't know why but I decided to make a little cake on the side, there weren't that many people so taking up one oven didn't hurt. Oh! Also needed to do some shopping today, don't have much food at home. Even though I'm sure it could last about a week I still need more just in case. I thought, wiping off the counter.
After a couple of hours of cooking, taking orders, and trying to wake up Sophia, which again, was a very bad idea. It was almost time to close. Ava was wiping off tables and I was cleaning the kitchen, that's when I heard the door opening. "What, dude it's like 5:20. Who the hell could it be." I made my way to the front when suddenly I was pulled down under the counter. "Shh! Look there is someone out there that I don't want to talk to so do me a favor and tell them to fuck off, okay?" Ava whispered. I was confused as to why she didn't want to talk to whoever was out there, but I didn't feel like cooking anything else either so I agreed. I stood up and almost did a double-take. "Ava?" The woman who had walked in looked exactly like Ava but with long black hair that fell barely below her shoulder blades and red heart-shaped pupils, it was like looking at a clone of the boss lady herself.
