Zinnia's POV
I took the day off to fix the spare bedroom along with the apartment, Elliott had stayed in the living room in our last place, now that we have a second bedroom, Elliott doesn't have to worry about us making so much noise in the kitchen!
I ignored the yawn but couldn't, I didn't get any sleep last night, nor did Isaac. But with Isaac, he always wake up with him trying to catch his breathe and sweating and wanting to reach out onto something. Sometimes he won't go back to sleep so he watches little bit of TV. I sometimes have to place his head to my chest and hum, to help him go back to sleep.
Whenever it's our day off, I let him sleep for a few more hours because he needs it, I take care of him as he takes care of me. I place some curtains, the room was almost done so I rather have Elliott to add whatever he wants in this room since this is his room. Sadie was eating when the door knocked, I went to open it and it was the neighbors."Oh hi, Penelope, right?"
"Yes it is and how are you doing, Zinnia? I brought over some cookies that my sister made way too much."
"Oh wow. Thank you, and they smell amazing!"
"Anytime. Oh if your not busy or anything, my fiance suggested we should take a hike tomorrow. It'll be a nice day, would you like to join us?"
A hike on a Saturday, tomorrow would be a very nice day, been wanting to take Sadie out for more walks.
I thought about it and nodded, "It sounds really nice and I'll ask my husband when he gets home. He's out getting my brother over here for the summer, I'll ask them about it and I let you know.""Great! I let you go, have a nice day."
"You too, Penelope." I closed the door, I feel good about the invite. Hiking would be nice to get away with everything, once Issac and Elliot gets home, I'll tell them about it.
Sadie excitedly barked, entering Elliott's room to head to the extra bed of hers as she waits for him, I chuckled, "Just you wait. He'll be here." I heard my phone ringing, I left it in the couch and to my annoyance, it's from Storm. I've been ignoring her calls and texts ever since we arrived to this town. The last time I saw her texts were about us needed to go to Westchester. Yeah that's not happening, we're done with the supernatural and fighting to survive, we're doing alright as we are. We don't need to go to Westchester, I ignored it and continued cleaning, Storm should understand that it's over.
I turned the TV on, the news was on about the victims found in the woods, one of them survived but barley. I stopped listening as I heard the door opening to Elliott and Isaac. I got up and hugged him so tight!"Alright! Alright I can't breath!"
"Just excited for you to be here, Scooter." Sadie excitedly barked, Elliott was happy to see her, petting her as Isaac hurried to close the door, while holding a cage with a purple sheet.
"Is that..."
"Oh yeah." Taking the purple sheet off to revealed the zombie rabbit. With it's horns and six eyes with it's tongue sticking out.
"Jackal wanted to come so he's here."
"Take your bags into your room and we'll order some food."
Elliott took his bags and Jackal to the room with Sadie behind him, I took Isaac in for a passionate kiss and told him about hiking tomorrow with our neighbors, Penelope and Lilac.
He sat down as I explained it would be good and fun."I don't know. Hiking?"
"Yes. Come on, it'll be fun and we always want to take Sadie out and get some fresh air. We're all going to go, come on, it'll be fun, also we always wanted to check out the rest of the town."
"True. Alright, we can go tomorrow for the hike. Don't one of them have a sister? Same age as Elliott, they can hang out while we hang out them."
"There we go. Besides once we get back from the hike, we can marathon some movies to watch."
He nodded, he softly pulled me in for kiss, we chuckled and ordered some Chinese, Elliott picked a movie and watched as we ate. While Elliott fed his zombie rabbit that we couldn't help but laugh.
