Isaac's POV
A week. A week of being in Pine Springs recovering and staying away from Redwater, away from my wife and away of not doing anything but be annoyed with myself for not calling Zinnia! I hate this so much that I kept having those nightmares of Peter murdering that man!
I threw a mug to the wall! Which was a mistake with Arthur yelling from downstairs and coming upstairs, "You owe me a damn mug! Now look at the wall! Now you going to work to fix that!""Right. Yeah I know, I'm sorry, Arthur. I really am."
"It's been a week since your here and you haven't given me a reason as to why! I don't believe Zinnia sent you here to take care of me, I can handle my own damn self!"
"You can but hey, I'm here so you don't feel lonely without Elliott, come on, being here to get to know my future grandfather in law." Future. Still doesn't know I'm married to his granddaughter or else he would kill me.
"With what you did to the wall, yeah right! You got to prove yourself to me if you want to marry Zinnia, get your ass downstairs and eat and fix that damn wall and buy me a new mug! Well? Hurry up and get dressed!"
"Yes Arthur. On my way." I made sure to hide my ring so he doesn't know anything the marriage between Zinnia and I. Considering we want to tell him when we're ready and when it's time. Now's not the time and I made sure he doesn't call Zinnia about me being here for the past week. She's gotta be angry with me for not calling her. I spent listening to the voicemails she left me and I swear it's getting really hard being away from her. But I hope she understands, after breakfast with Arthur and promised to buy a new mug, I left to meet with Parker, he was getting out of park to meet me for lunch. He's been busy with work and spending time with his family and managed to have time to hang out and have lunch.
The time I've spent being in Pine Springs, the nightmares are slowly coming and going, the insomnia still hell to deal with now that I haven't been sleeping for the past three days. During that time I did stuff to tiring me out. With late night walks, meditating and some other stuff in hopes to get me to sleep.
I can't get any medication for it as I don't want Zinnia to know I'm here.
Parker noticed and took my coffee away, "Seriously?""When was the last time you slept? You look like shit as ever."
"I can say the same to you. You look you haven't slept. Please tell me you got something? Parker."
"I actually did and if you can, stop by the station when it gets dark, I found something that might be interesting and hopefully helpful. Especially learning more about the mayor."
"Anything that can help us with this whole thing. It's been a week and Zinnia's been sending me messages and voicemails. A few from Tom letting me know things are okay and the others went back home for the funeral for their friend."
"It's going to be rough for them losing two of their friends. Look I know if you don't want to but you were invited to have dinner with us. If you want."
"To meet the woman you're going to marry, I would definitely go for that and it might be good for me. I've been in that house with Arthur for a week and it would be nice. I want to meet your fiance and your stepson."
"You'll like Shelby and Wendell. Take your mind off of things and relax."
"Yeah. Yeah I need it."
While waiting to head over to Parker's place for dinner, I decided to take a walk and tried to communicate with Noah. Hoping he's around here but I doubt it. I felt uneasy, being back here after the cult and almost dying. I listened to some of Zinnia's voicemails, listen to her voice.
-Voicemails-
Zinnia - Call me back when you get this, Isaac. Don't make me worry this much.
Hey are you okay? I really hope you are, babe. I went to the hospital to see if you were out, and you were and what happened? Call me please.
