Isaac's POV
I never thought I was going to get out of the psych ward really fast than expected. But it felt good to feel the cold air hitting my face, although it wasn't the celebration I wanted for getting out of here. Nor the threat if refused to listen.
I waited outside for Parker who arrived to pick me up, I hurried into the car and I'm glad it was only Parker, however Tom was here as well but I felt happy. Leaving that place felt really good but I watched the mayor smirking as he was leaving as well, smoking as we drove off."Damn what happened? How did you get out of there?"
"We didn't tell Zinnia as she's busy with Elliott. I know that whole situation was bad but its over now. Your out of there and what happened with the charges?"
"Your not going to prison are you?"
"Continued driving until you see a spot where we can be alone without anyone interruption. There's something you guys should know."
Hours earlier...
Facing with the mayor in my room, with his sinister smirk with his scar that put goosebumps all around my body. It doesn't feel right with this man here.
The man looked around the room, smirking, "I know who you are, Issac Fisher. And I must say, pretty determine you are to attend my party, searching for the truth. Bold of you. So tell me, who sent you to this town? No matter, you'll be gone soon enough."
"Bold of you to be saying that out loud. So I have to die, you going to kill me?"
"The cameras are off, boy. We can talk freely, here's what we're going to do. You going to leave town. If you know what's good for you." He pulled out a stack of cash, throwing it to me, I caught it, but I was confused, I glared at the man, "No."
"No?"
"No. I'm not leaving town. Why should I leave town just because you told me to. Or bribe me with this stack of cash, I'm not going to pack up and leave with my wife..."
"Zinnia Vance, yes. You two are married and settled in Redwater. No, your wife will stay, you can leave. You see, I don't like people snooping around where they don't belong. In my home, rooms that aren't meant for people to go in and see, you have enough to travel and live somewhere else."
"Yeah I'm not leaving town. There's nothing you can say or do to convinced me to leave without my wife."
I almost throw the cash back to him when he pulled out his phone, making a call, he gave a sinister grin, "Yes it's me. You have eyes on the boy?""What are you doing? Who are you calling?!"
"Your wife, has a younger brother named Elliott, right? Would be a shame if something would to happen, for a boy so young and full of life. I can do anything I want, such as sending someone to harm the boy, or someone closes to him. Or better yet, hold on, you have eyes on the girl? Zinnia Vance?"
"You bastard!"
He raise up a finger, grinning as he holds the lives of Zinnia, Elliott and Robbie, my blood is boiling, goosebumps all over.
"Don't."
"Don't what? You know I can sent someone to go after the only family your wife has, such as her grandfather. Keep an eye on them."
"No you won't because... Because..."
"Speak up."
My heart is beating, I don't want to risk their lives, I can't lose them. I can't take Zinnia with me to leave this town, but I'm not sure if he's going to keep his word in leaving them alone. I have to think of something, and fast!
