Pain, oh my god the pain, it was like 5 million knives were tearing through my chest. I try to sit up but am immediately pushed back down by a strong force.

"Ouch!"

"Well stop moving and it wont hurt so much!" Um? Who was that? Where am I? What is happening? Jesus that hurts.

I open my eyes and see the famous red head Diluc staring very intently at my torso. He was holding a blood-stained cloth and a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Hold on where was my shirt?

"I said stop moving!" his voice ran straight through my core. I did as he said leaning my head back against the hard floor and awaited the pain of his touch against my wounds.

We were in some kind of storage cabinet, there were cleaning supplies, unopened crates of various different wines and concoctions that I hadnt even heard of. The room was dimly lit, and I could still hear the horrible sound of drunkards beyond the door behind Diluc. Ok so I was still in the tavern, at least that was something.

"What happened? Wheres Timmy?" I sighed, moving my hands to wipe the hair out of my face but they were quickly snapped back down to my sides followed by a very intense glare from the red-haired man. "No moving right, sorry sir."

Suddenly, the man poured some of the alcohol on my chest and I whelped out in pain, He had to pin my shoulders down in order to stop me from getting up. He glared at me again.

"His mother took him home," Diluc said, his face completely deadpanned, taking out a bandage from behind him and pressing down on my wounds. "As for what happened, you passed out, presumably from blood loss, the cuts are pretty deep." He looked as though he had something else to say but stopped and continued on with bandaging me up.

"Oh." Was all I could say, my whole body was stinging. Now was not the time, but I couldnt help but notice how good he smelt, I always presumed he would smell like alcohol like the rest of them, but he just smelt sweet, like blossoms and grape. His hair fell down over his shoulders even though it was still in his usual low tie up and his face was stern.

A few moments later, the wine master had finished. I was glad I was still wearing a bra, otherwise that would have been extremely embarrassing. I watched as master Diluc stood up, wiping his gloved hands together and heading towards the door. He stopped, glanced back at me, then down to his chest and sighed. I turned my head away as my cheeks heated up when he began to take off his jacket. What was he doing?

"Here," he said, emotionless, throwing his jacket towards me, I felt the expensive weight of it hit against my body, it was very warm, which made sense, him being a pyro user and all. "Your shirt was ruined, take that, just make sure you drop it off at Dawn Winery tomorrow, its just past Springvale."

I blushed and hung my head, reminded once again about the lack of clothes I had on right now. It was a very kind thing of him to do, not only clean my wounds but offer me his coat too, I was overwhelmed by everything, it had been such a long day, I was in so much pain and by this point I just wanted to sleep. Diluc's kind actions made it hard to remember what a dickhead he usually was, of course, Ive never spoke to him before, but have heard numerous stories about him from the town folk. Women would fawn over him, men wanted to be him, and vice versa. The guy was no doubt going to be an egocentric prick, but tonight, he was kind. Maybe I had been wrong. I just nodded and thanked him.

He paused again before heading to the door, "Whats your name? So, I know who to hunt if I dont get my coat back." There was no emotion in his voice, he wasnt joking, maybe I was right, maybe he was a dick.

"y/n." I said, using the jacket to cover my chest, trying to ignore how good it smelt. And with that, he left the room, letting the door shut behind him.
