Y/n woke up in Diluc's bed for the third time this week. They hadn't spoken yet about what they were or what this meant but she was comfortable with that for now.

It wasn't intentional that they shared a bed, they had agreed not to rush things but even inspite of this, there she was, wrapped up in nothing but a duvet and Diluc's arm which was draped across her tummy.

Something she had noticed is that Diluc has a tendency to mumble in his sleep. Every so often his eyebrows would furrow and he would speak softly but y/n could never understand what it was he was saying.

"Mmmhm..."

She turned her head to glance at the man who had scrunched up his nose and was using his free hand to rub his eyes. His hair was tied into a lose braid which somehow, y/n had convinced him to let her do last night when they were sat on the balcony.

She smiled at the memory, her silently platting his hair while he strummed a ukulele, huming to himself a song, the stars and the gods looking down on them.

Diluc never talked much about himself, infact he never spoke much at all, which was something she had already gotten used to. Occasionally she would try trick him into talking about himself, but he would just kiss her on her four head, and smile slightly each time.

"Goodmoring y/n." Diluc said still rubbing his face, he sat up and ran his fingers across the braid, smiling to himself at the memory aswell.

Y/n, like most of the time, was at a loss for words, she often spent her time now baffled by the attractiveness of this man, and at the same time greatly frustrated by how little she knew of him.

"Thank you." She said, not exactly knowing why it just slipped out. Diluc looked just as confused, raising an eyebrow and dropping his smile, giving her a look to continue.

"For saving me." She sunk her head, she couldn't remember if she had said it, after he cleaned her cuts up, caught her from the burning building, let her breath the same air as him, let her sleep in his home. So she just thought she'd remind him.

He still looked confused, but smiled, and leaned in to kiss her, which she happily recieved, his kisses felt like sitting under a statue of the seven after a long day. She sunk into him and savoured the moment as always.

"I have business to attend to today, I trust you'll be alright by yourself?" He questioned, running his fingers across her cheeks. She nodded, he got up and hurried on his clothes, y/n not taking her eyes off his firm body as he did.

With one last kiss he left the room, leaving the braid in his hair which was sure to get a few questions. Y/n leaned back into the covers and smiled. Thankful to have someone to share comfort in for once.

"Come on dad! We're almost there! You have to hurry!" Y/n screamed to her father, who was clinging to her while holding on to the gaping wound in his stomach.

He was coughing and spluttering up blood as they climbed down to the sea front, her brother stumbling behind them. Flames of purple surround the beach and the distant screams of their friends, colleagues and neighbours echoed across the islands.

The archon had gone crazy, killing anyone even associated with a vision. Their mother, murdered infront of them with a sharp blade from one of those killing machines.
