"I'm so nervous" she laughed as her friend concentrated on pinning back any loose hair from the up do she had just created. Gia was about to head into what would be the most important interview of her life so far. "You will be fine, besides it's not as if you haven't had any interviews before" and while Becca made a lot of sense Gia still couldn't help the churning feeling in the pit of her stomach. Since being in school Gia and Becca were inseparable and did pretty much everything together, so it was only natural that Gia asked Becca to help her get ready for her interview at RB Insurance.

"You are a strong independent 18 year old woman who don't need no man! Time to suck it up buttercup and get your fine ass out into the world and start living how you want to... Look I know school was hard for you but you've got so much going for you I just wish you could see what I see, please start trying to become the person I know you are" Gia smiled at her friends encouraging words and threw her arms around her small frame, thankful for that day when Becca saved her.

Gia took another look at herself in the mirror before deciding that she was ready to leave, straightening out her tight fitting pencil skirt and pulling her black blazer closet around her body. Gia picked up her bag and did a final check that all the correct documentation was in there before giving her friend a final hug, she was ready to go. Gia didn't have her licence yet so Becca kindly offered to take her to the office building, knowing how nervous her friend was it was so important for Becca to make sure that Gia was as calm as possible and that she was given her best chance.

"Just give me a call when you're done and I'll come back and pick you up, don't stress you'll do great" Gia reached across the console and gave her friend a tight huh before opening her car door and stepping out onto the busy sidewalk. Gia took a deep break before stepping into the large building, completely taken back with just how beautiful the interior actually was, the floor was a beautiful deep grey marble tile which mats bed the off white coloured walls perfectly.

The faux flowers dotted around the foyer gave the room a light airy feel, there were a few black sofas placed towards the left of the room and a huge marble reception desk with a beautiful woman sat behind. "Hello, my name is Giannina Kate I'm here for an interview for the insurance advisor position" the woman smiled at Gia and began typing on her keyboard, making sure to look at the paperwork on her desk as well as the screen in front of her "yes Miss Kate we have you all booked in for 9:30, if you could take these documents and fill them out I will get somebody done with you as soon as possible. You can sit on one of the sofas behind you" she smiled and handed Gia a pack containing different forms that needed to be filled out.

Gia smiled at the woman and picked up the clipboard full of paper, walking over to one of the seats and placing her bag down. Gia was so focused on filling out the forms that she didn't hear the receptionist call her name, she only realised she was being called when she could see something moving in the corner of her eye. "Oh I'm so sorry, is everything alright" Gia felt embarrassed that the only want the receptionist could get her attention was to wave her hands in the air, the woman just smiled and flicked her eyes down to her computer screen before looking back over to Gia.

"They are ready for you upstairs, if you walk down the end of this hall and take the elevator to the top floor which is floor 6, then turn right and follow the hallway until you come to the end of the hall you'll see Mary, she is the personal assistant of our CEO who will be conducting your interview with us today. Do you have any questions?" Gia was stunned at the fact that the CEO would be taking her interview and couldn't really fathom any words to the poor woman so instead she simply shook her head no and made her way to the elevator.

Stepping inside she pressed the button for the 6th floor and let her head rest on the wall behind her. Gia kept reminding herself not to worry or to stress and that even though the CEO of the company was conducting her interview it was no different to anyone else conducting it. The sound of the elevator doors opening snapped her out of her thoughts the warm light seeping in through the small elevator made her gasp, much like downstairs her breath was taken by how beautiful the building is, the floor was the same as the ground floor but the walls were a lot softer in colour, really making the whole area light up.

"You know I've been here for 5 years and I still can't get over how beautiful the whole place is.. I'm Mary, you must be Miss Kate" Gia looked to the woman and smiled, her eyes were warm and although she was young she had the wisdom and maturity of someone in their late 50's, Gia extended her hand out and shook Mary's hand "please call me Gia it really is beautiful here" Mary walked back around her desk and gestured for Gia to take a seat on one of the chairs.

"I have a Miss Giannina Kate here to see you for her interview, shall I send her in?" Gia was becoming more and more nervous the longer she was sat waiting for her interview, she must have rehearsed her answers over a hundred times and with all that preparation came down to one moment "he is ready for you" and this was it. Gia stood up and adjusted her skirt before she walked over the the door beside Mary and knocked her knuckles against the wood a few times, it really didn't take long for a gruff voice to yell out for her to enter.

"Miss Kate please take a seat, my name is Mr Buchanan and I will be conducting your interview" it took Gia a hot minute to get herself under control in front of the god that was leaning against his desk waiting for her to sit. She took the time to note everything about this man, from the way his eyebrows would scrunch together and a playful smirk would land on his face.

The way his blue eyes seemed to make it impossible to look away from them, they drew you in which Gia could tell was a dangerous road to do down. He had stubble on his jaw which looked to be a couple of days old and his hair sat perfectly on top of his head, nothing about this man was out of place and yet everything about his screamed danger and trouble.. something which both excited and terrified Gia.

"Thank you for your time Mr Buchanan, it's truly a pleasure to meet you" Gia placed her hand out to shake his and was elated at how good his damn hands felt, and seeing just how small her hands looked with his wrapped around hers send heat coursing through her, this man was a dream and he knew it. Gia tried to discreetly push her legs closed as she shifted in her seat, she was sure that her cheeks had a tinge of pink to them, this man was on a whole other level and something told Gia that he knew.

"Pleased to meet you Miss Kate, now I can see by your resume that you have been studying business management and law is that correct Miss Kate?" Holy shit if she wasn't careful she knew she was going to get herself into trouble "yes, and please call me Gia" she almost purred at him as she bit her bottom lip trying to compose herself, Mr Buchanan smirked at her and he sat in the large chair behind the desk.

"I am happy to give you what we call an apprenticeship offer. This is so we can have a trial run on your performance and make the judgement call if you are worthy of being hired for me full time. This also gives you a chance to see if you feel we are the right company for you. You will be paid weekly and we can have you start on Monday" her mouth fell open as she processed his words,

he didn't even ask her any typical interview questions or didn't really ask anything about her, she felt her tongue slowly trace of her bottom lip as her brain caught up to his sentence "thank you Sir that would be amazing" it was such a small gesture of his that she almost missed the way his hands dropped from the table down to his lap and his jaw clenched.. not sure of the reason behind his action but just grateful for the opportunity.
