A Simple Meal

Gia pulled herself away from Bucky and looked up at him, shocked by how comforting he was being. "Gia look I know this is terrible timing but I wanted to ask you on a date.. With me?"

If she wasn't embarrassed with how he found her she would have thought his question was cute. Did she want to go on a date with him? After everything that has happened can she really say yes?

"Bucky.. I-I need time. Please" she pleas with him as she moved the chair from him, standing and turning off all of her equipment to leave for the day. Bucky sighed heavily and made his way towards the door, turning to smile at her.

"I'd wait forever for you Miss Kate" turning and leaving her in the small room. Gia grabed her coat and bag and leaves the office, her mind whirling as she made her way home. Gia stepped through her front door and was met by her fury friend, his loud meows echoing in the dark hallway.

Gia fixed Henry some food before grabbing a chocolate bar and sitting in the lounge. She wondered if the real reason she kept cheating on Loki was because she wanted to be with Bucky in a fucked up way to try and get his attention she said she would date one of his best friends.

The chemistry they had was undeniable, it was raw and carnal and unadulterated and exciting. It was so fucking exciting to steal the kisses from him and to have him eyeing her like a gold prize when she was with everyone.

Gia felt giddy in his presence and couldn't actually believe that he chose her over everyone. Maybe she could go out with him on one date, to see if she really did want to be with him or if he was a bit of fun. Was this fair to Loki? No. But Gia knew she had to do this for herself and she would deal with other people and their idiotic opinions anther time.

Gia pulled out her phone and pulled up his name, sending him a text. Her stomach was in knots as she hit the send button, hoping he would reply.

Gia-Yes x

Gia smiled as she received a text message back moments later, her stomach now doing cartwheels as she read over the message.

Bucky- Be ready tomorrow at 6pm. Wear something with easy access ;) Can't wait to see you doll x

Gia got herself ready for bed and tried to get to sleep, excited for whatever Bucky had planned. Gia woke and decided to stay in bed a little while longer, enjoying her lay in. Henry jumped up onto the bed and curled in next to her as he fell back to sleep, Gia deciding to facetime Becca.

"Hey Bec, I wanted to talk to you about something" her nerves bubbling as she looked at her very tried best friend on the other end of the call. Becca could be seen moving from the bed when her camera caught a sleeping figure next to her, the familiar mop of blonde hair poking from the covers. Gia forgot about why she called Becca and couldn't help the smirk plastered on her face.

"Yeah G, what's up?" Becca poured herself a coffee after making her way downstairs, her eyes flicking towards the screen and catching Gia's smirk. "What?" Becca laughed as she placed the phone onto the counter, Gia laughed as she herself settled on her couch.

"So you and Steve last night huh?" Gia laughed as her friend blushed, not realising she had been caught. "I thought you wanted to talk to me about something?" Becca laughed as she took a sip of her coffee, trying to change the topic from her and Steve.

Gia's face fell slightly as she remembered why she needed to talk to her. "Yeah. Look after everything that has happened, I don't really know what I'm doing but I feel like I need to do this just to see what it's like. Bucky.. he asked me out, tonight and I said.. well I said yes."

Gia looked at her friend and waited for her to scream at her or to tell her that she was a slut for cheating on Loki and now going on a date with Bucky but that never came. Becca just smiled at looked at her friend, a twinkle in her eye,

"Gia, babe I know. Buck rang me yesterday and told me that he asked you out but he told me you said to give you time. I haven't seen my brother this nervous waiting for an answer in years. He is happy and while you both went about things completely wrong and the thought of you and my brother makes me want to hurl, I know that you both have this connection with each other, I just wished you didn't hurt Loki in the process."

Gia nodded at her friend, in total agreement with wishing she hadn't hurt him. "Thank you Bec, it means a lot to me that you're ok with this" Gia smiled as the pair talked with each other for awhile about Steve and about Gia's date before they ended the call.

Gia decided on a pair of high waisted black jeans, a white roll neck top with a long oatmeal colour cardigan, her black Chelsea style boots. Gia straightened her hair and applied some Chapstick before making her way downstairs, the clock on the oven reading 17:58.

There was a beeping noise from outside her house, Gia a bundle of excitement and nerves as she grabbed her keys and purse and walked into the street, Bucky was stood leaning against his 58 Cadillac Convertible, a beautiful sleek black.

"You look..." He was lost for words. Gia smiled and headed towards him, Bucky placing a kiss onto her cheek. "You look... yourself" she smirked as he opened the car door for her, and even though she knew he could drive there was something.. erotic? Sexual? Fucking exquisite about seeing Bucky with a shirt dress on, his sleeves rolled up to his elbows, his carefree smile on his lips while the wind whips through his hair.

Bucky looked over to Gia and smiled brightly at her as he placed his hand onto her thigh, giving her a reassuring squeeze as they listened to the radio. The night grew darker as they pulled into a car park, other cars parked up with couples and families and friends in the vehicles.

"What are we doing here?" Gia smiled as Bucky unbuckled his seatbelt and reached into the back of the car, pulling out a blanket for the pair to share and a canister filled with hot chocolate, two metal camping style cups paired with it.

"Well doll, I get the sense that you are they kind of woman who likes to be shown just how much they are valued. I get the sense that you won't be swayed with a simple meal." Bucky leaned over to Gia and pulled her lips into a sweet and tender kiss before pouring them both a cup of hot chocolate, the large drive in movie projector started rolling credits on an old movie classic.

Singin' in the rain. Bucky wrapped the blanket around their shoulders as the pair began to watch the movie, Gia sipping on her drink and curling up towards him.
