Gia continued to walk out of the bathroom hoping to get back to Loki as quickly as she could, hoping to leave before Bucky came back. Becca eyed Gia suspiciously, Gia's eyes wild and her breathing still staggered.
Gia bent down to Loki and placed a kiss onto his cheek, "let's go" she whispered, straightening back up ready to leave. "Let me finish my beer and I'll call us a cab" Loki smiled back as he pulled the chair out for Gia to sit, before she could she felt a hand on her forearm.
"Don't you fucking walk away from me!" Bucky's voice roared as he reached the table. Gia now stuck in her spot, afraid to move and to acknowledge this was really happening.
"Bucky let me go.." Gia looked up at him, panic in her eyes of which he could see, "no I let you go once and I'm not doing it again, you've left me too many times" the table now silent.
Gia looked to Loki who held confusion and sorrow on his face as though he knew what was coming. "Tell him Gia. Tell him or I will" Bucky spat with her heart sinking.
Gia turned to Loki with tears in her eyes "Loki let's go back to mine so I can explain please" she tried to take a step toward the broken man in front of her, Bucky's hand not letting up his grip on her arm.
"No tell him here so I know you won't twist things and so I know you are telling him the whole truth" his voice cold. Gia took a deep breath with tears now free falling from her eyes as she looked from Loki to her best friend.
It wasn't only Loki she would be hurting but, her best friend. "I'm sorry Becca I am. Loki.. I" Gia was struggling to get the words out, her throat closing as she looked at her best friend and boyfriend, both as confused as one another.
"Me and Gia have been fucking each other for the past few weeks. That night we all met was the first time it happened." Bucky wasn't holding back and he knew that he could have phrased it better but it just needed to be said.
Gia used the back of her hand to wipe her eyes, Bucky letting go of her arm now that the damange had been done. "Loki please.. I'm so sorry, I didn't want to hurt you and it was a mistake, I don't have feeling for him only you, please" she knew she was begging but the thought of Loki leaving made her heart cry.
Bucky didn't dare look at anyone else as he kept his attention between Gia and Loki as he continued "I just had her in the restroom when she told me she wanted you" he nodded at Loki, Gia was a broken mess as Loki abruptly pushed away from his chair and looked at her. "Is this true?" His voice was broken.. No shattered.
His voice was shattered into pieces as he tried to keep it together. Gia didn't trust the sound of her own voice so she just nodded, her head hung low. Loki shook his head and left the restaurant not uttering a word.
Gia pushed past Bucky and rushed to Becca, needing to make sure she still could salvage one relationship today. "Bec, listen it just sort of happened. I'm so sorry I know it's weird and it didn't mean anything to me. I know he is your brother but he is also my boss which made it worse. I'm so sorry" her sobs were heartbreaking.
Becca looked at her friend and pulled her into a hug, letting Gia cry into her shoulder "hey listen, hey hey hey come on now Gia. I'm not mad at you but I wish you'd fucked him while you were serious with him and not just a fling. You need to talk to Loki" she mumbled as Gia continued to shake against Becca.
"Wait.. They work together? Shit since when?" Sam sounded shell-shocked at their confession, Gia managing a small smile. Gia pulled away from Becca and turned to face Bucky, seeming to have no remorse on his face for running her relationship.
"What the fuck Bucky? Why did you do that?" Her voice was raised and her anger was bringing fresh tears down her face. Bucky simply shrugged "he had a right to know." Gia stormed around the table and started pounding her fists against his chest as she sobbed louder "why did you have to do it now! I could have told him but you ruined everything. You ruined everything Bucky" he wrapped his arms around her shoulders, his left hand finding her hair as he tried to calm her down, letting the girl he had just broken cry into him.
Gia pushed Bucky away and turned back towards the concerned faces of her friends, "you need to go Bucky" her voice was low, like she'd given everything she had. Gia didn't want to face anyone and without saying another word, spun on her heals and ran through the almost deserted restaurant, in hopes of finding Loki to explain.
Gia made it to the sidewalk and looked left and right, no sign of him. Pulling out her phone, her shaky hands dialled his number, praying that he would answer, all she needed was to hear his voice. The familiar sound of his answer machine sounded and her voice broke for the 10th time that evening.
"Loki I know you don't want to talk to me but please. I don't know what I was thinking and it sort of kept happening" She bit her lip as she tried to find the right words to say.
"I only want you and I want to be able to explain everything. You are better than him and better than me but if you could find it in your heart to give me a chance to explain. Please just call me."
The sound of her crying could be heard for a few seconds before she hung up, sliding down the wall and pulling her knees closer to her chest. Her head hung low as her tears of pain became silent sobs.
