We woke early the next day and began packing up my apartment.
I don't know where I've collected all this shit from- but it's more than unnecessary.
It took us about three hours to finish packing my home and loading the truck Max rented. Then we went and packed up Max's which took less than two surprisingly.
So as we pull up in front of the white brick home, I feel my heart beating rapidly. It's gorgeous and it's better than the photos.
"Oh Max- it's beautiful." I say as I get out of the car.
"I knew you'd love it." Kissing my lips, he holds me close and rubs my arms. "Let me help the men move the boxes and furniture in- you and the girls should go explore. You're going to love your closet and on-suite."
"Are they huge?"
"Oh- they're huge." Kissing my head, he leaves me to go to the truck and I turn to find Mina grabbing Luna from the car.
"Well...whatcha think?" I ask Mina and she smiles widely.
"I wanna see my room. I do get a room...right?"
"Of course you get a room. You get to pick out of four. Max says there's three upstairs or one in the basement. Max and mine's room is on the main floor." I say as we open the door and step inside. Beautiful cherry wood floor planks, warm cream colored walls and a grand staircase welcomes us as we enter. A cute little cubicle bench- with a coat rack and shoe storage sits on the left of the door. While a small console table is just a bit down the hall and to the right. Walking down the hall hall, it opens to a huge kitchen with a long rectangle island, flat top duel stove on it, a long set of counters against the back wall with a double farm style sink that looks out a big window. The cabinets and counter bases are a beautiful teal and the counter tops a cream colored marble. The dining room is connected to it on the right and a set of beautiful white French doors. The moving men have already placed in my long dining table and benches and have placed the couches and coffee tables. A huge stone fireplace sits in the front of the couches and the television is already hooked up on top of the mantle.
We check out the den/library- built in bookshelves, a massive picture window looks out at the white fenced in yard. Beside the den on the wall next to the kitchen is the half bathroom and across from the is the door to a fully renovated, carpeted basement and a bedroom and the downstairs bathroom.
"This room is huge." Mina states as she enters the bedroom. "This could be like a mall apartment down here."
"Well, we could probably make this a little area just for you. Max's furniture needs to go somewhere because I am picking new ones out for the living room and mines going in the den."
"You would really let me have my own little area down here?" She asks surprised. Luna looks around the wide empty space and then journeys out into the living area part of the basement.
"Well sure. You're sixteen. You deserve your own space. Can't say we won't be down here on the other side of that wall doing laundry. Max wants to put in a small gym in near the laundry on the other side of the stairs."
"What do you mean? I thought the stairs were the end of the whole downstairs?"
"God no." I lead her back out and at the back of the staircase there is a door that is painted the same color as the wall. Opening it up, I take her into a room about the same size as the other one, only it isn't carpeted but blue linoleum tiles. A washer and dryer sit in the corner next to a counter top and some cabinets as well as a sink. "He wants to make this the home gym. Haha, he has big dreams."
"It's pretty cool that this house has a secret room down here. What does your bedroom look like?" Taking her upstairs, i turn left to go across from the den and I open the door. Max was so kind as to draw me a very flawed map earlier today. I couldn't stop laughing at his attempt to make things to scale.
