I woke up in Cody's arms. I didn't move because I wanted to enjoy the moment as much as I could. I turned my head slightly to look at his features. I never really looked at him, or noticed what I am noticing now.
His lips.
I never really looked at them up close. They looked, so soft. I huffed not meaning to. "Ella?." I heard Cody say. "Right here." I said. "Your morning voice is cute." He said. "So is yours. How are you feeling?" I asked. "I'm fine, thanks though for asking." He replied.
"Should we get up?" I asked. "Na, let's enjoy the moment while we can." He mumbled , "I'm ok with that." I said turning him and smiling. "How about...." I trailed off. "A little kiss?" I said, he returned the smile, "Gladly."
I wrapped my arms around his neck and his hand around my waist. The sun was coming through the window shining through Cody's blond and chocolate brown hair. We pulled away and I ran my hand through his hair.
"Your hair..... I love it." I said. "Thanks I guess?" He said chuckling to himself. "Ella? What do you say to a day of shopping?" I looked at him, "Cody, are you sure? You were bet up pretty bad as far as I can tell." I said.
"Ella, don't worry about me, it's not death, it's not permanent, beside, I don't want to be stuck in this bed all day!" He said throwing his hand that was free up in their. I laughed at him. "Alright you big baby. I give in, we can go out today."
"Yay!!" He said trying to get up. "Wo, there big guy! Let me help you." I said running over to Cody's side of the bed, getting out of my side and helping him up and walk around and get ready for the day.
.............
"Ella! Let's go to Forever 21!" Cody said grabbing my hand. "Alright, but what do you want there?" He shook his head, "Not for me sweatheart, for you." He replied. "Cody, I don't want you to buy me things. I made that clear when you bought me that expensive dress." I smiled.
"Ella, you keep seeming to forget what I do for a living! I'm a singer! I'm one of the hottest boy singers on the earth, I have money." He said. I thought for a bit before giving in and going to the store with him.
...........
"You know, I'm never going to get used to you always taking me shopping and spending as much money as you want on me." I said, "Yes, and it's all worth it. To have you as my girlfriend." He said as we left the store, "I'm so glad we get to spend today together, by ourselves.""Me too." I responded. As it became later, Cody decided to take me to a park so we could watch the sunset. "Ella, ever since I saw you that first time in first grade. I knew, we were going to be best friends." He whispered in my ear.
I laid my head on his shoulder, "Cody?" "Hmm?" "I have to know, what are your concert plans?" I asked, "Well, I'm halfway through my tour, so once we reach LA California, that's my last concert." He said. "Your going to love it." He said.
"I know I will."
.........
When we got back to the hotel, it was late and he had a concert the next morning. "Goodnight Cody." I said. "Ella! Wait." He said, I stopped at the doorway of the room. "Can you-stay with me? I can't sleep alone." He said embarrassed.
"Alright, I can understand why." I said climbing in bed with him. "Goodnight Ella." He planted a kiss on my forehead. Before slight snores were coming from his side of the bed. Why can't I fall asleep that fast?
.........
"Been across the globe, never know when to turn, always believing, one day one day one day I'll see you,
Ohhhhhh-"
I sat backstage chanting along with Cody's singing, "This is my last concert in St. Louis! I hope to see you guys next year!" He shouted.
