Lucibane

Leviathan stared at his kingdom from the balcony of his medieval mansion. Nothing seemed to ruin his good mood at the moment. The red blood sky gave the buildings a relaxing tone and the screeches of pain was like music to his ears. Even though he was enjoying the view of demons tearing each other apart in the streets, he couldn't help but feel a little bit empty.

He missed his children. They were a part of him and without them being around, a part of him felt lost. He still had great demonic magic at his disposal but he would be even more powerful with them around. No one knows about his children except his trusted brother, Baphomet. Baphomet and Leviathan were the chiefs to Lucifer but Leviathan had a closer relation to Lucifer than any other demon.

Lucifer, Beelzebub and Leviathan created Hell. Hell was later divided into two; The Underworld and Lucibane. The Underworld was for the souls of mortals (both supernatural and human) while Lucibane was for demons and the other fallen angels. Beelzebub and Leviathan had a little disagreement over who should rule but Leviathan had the upper hand because he showed true dominance over the demons. Beelzebub retreated to drowning himself in wine and women after that.

Today will mark his one millionth year on the throne of Lucibane. He wanted no company but it was tradition to have a feast with the greater demons on this day every year. "Lord!" Someone called pulling him out of his thought. It was Baphomet. "The guests are arriving soon", he said, "I thought you would be in your quarters getting ready". "I am in no mood for celebrations", Leviathan frowned, "enjoy the feast without me".

Baphomet knew his brother was troubled. He wanted to comfort him badly but he didn't know how. "What is it this time?" Baphomet asked walking to his side. "You would understand how I am feeling if you had two beings wondering around with your blood in their veins". Leviathan simply answered. "At least, I didn't have an affair with a mortal", Baphomet retorted, "why did you do it anyways?" "To avenge my wife", he replied, "the mad woman killed Lilith like it was no big deal".

"What?! I thought that was Lucifer. Are you sure a mortal did it?"

"Yes! It was an unexpected attack. I did the only thing I could and forced a child into her in hopes that I would groom the child to torture her. But I lost contact and it seems a spell is blocking me from having access".

"Remember that you're a greater demon. No magic is beyond your control. You just lack concentration and to be frank, you haven't gotten over your loss either".

"I guess you're right. Lilith was perfect. She had every demon at her command, she could set a house filled with babies ablaze and still be dissatisfied. Her heart was darker than a black hole. Just perfect".

"Don't you think this mortal is even more evil? I mean she took courage to invade Lucibane and kill Lilith". Leviathan had never considered that before. He needed a dark queen to match him and he let that mortal slip right out of his hand. She could have borne many children for him to feed on.

A loud horn and a very annoying voice reminded them that they had a feast to host. "I have many demons in bed waiting for my return!" The demon yelled, "be kind to make this quick!" Leviathan rolled his eyes. The voice belonged to none other than Asmodeus, one of the princes of Hell. He was the demon of lust and he surrounded himself with vulnerable women; demons and humans alike. Once any conceived, he used them for his blood sacrifice. He was Leviathan's best friend.

Leviathan snapped his fingers to be dressed in an unbuttoned black suit with red trimmings which complimented his dark brown hair. He sometimes enjoyed taking the form of a human but only because his light brown eyes made many swoon. It was like his eyes could cast a spell of their own. He could only hope that his children inherited them.

While Baphomet and Leviathan were engaged, a demon was at work. Leviathan's goblet was filled with a very powerful poison. So strong that it would cause instant death. The carrier would never be traced since the elixir immediately vanished once the poison was poured. To ensure that nothing looked suspicious, a little wine was mixed with it. The two guards who caught the culprit were portalled to a cell in the criminal's abode.

Asmodeus embraced Leviathan once he made his presence known. He did that to annoy the king even though Leviathan hugged him back. "You old dog!" Asmodeus smiled, "here I was expecting a dozen stripping demons as entertainment due to the gravity of this occasion but only to be greeted by the same boring faces". "We can't all be like you, Asmodai", Abaddon snarled, "foolishness isn't our joy". "What did you call me?!" Asmodeus barked. The only thing he hated more than an empty bed is being called Asmodai.

Abaddon continued to drink like he didn't almost start a feud. Leviathan took his seat at the head of the table. Asmodeus snapped his fingers and Abaddon used the little knife beside his dish to stab his right eye. "Do you wish to spit out any other vile words?" Asmodeus crackled. Abaddon was about to retaliate when Azazel clanked his glass. He still wore his bored look but he wanted this feast to be over quickly. "To Leviathan and the throne of Lucibane!" He announced.

Leviathan gave him a thankful look before raising his goblet. They all took their drinks. Leviathan had second thoughts about drinking but he didn't want to give any of them a reason to pick a fight. Especially Sathanas who was quick to lose his temper.

A sharp pain struck his head. He stared into the goblet and noticed that a black liquid lingered at the bottom. His vision was getting blurred. His blood turned to fire and it was slowly killing him. Asmodeus and Beelzebub were in the middle of their friendly competition of who was a greater manwhore when Leviathan fell out of his seat. Baphomet quickly ran to his side.

This caused alarm among them. Even Samael who normally gave no damn seemed puzzled. Baphomet inspected the goblet. "Poison" he told them, "he has been poisoned". "How? Who would dare intrude and go unseen amongst the most powerful demons of Hell?!" Asmodeus yelled. Under all his craftiness, he still cared for Leviathan.

Baphomet instructed some guards to send word to the infernal judges also known as the Fate Brothers. With the help of Beelzebub, Leviathan was taken to his chambers. He looked awfully pale and his body was struggling between his two forms but he was still alive. The perpetrator smiled with the corner of his lips. Everyone was so panicked that no one noticed this.

A portal opened to reveal Minos, Acacus and Rhadamanthus all dressed in their ceremonial gray robes. The hood of the robes always covered their ghostly faces. Mino stretched his wrinkled red skinned hand over Leviathan. He gave a sign to his brothers to tell them the problem. Minos was the Deliberator(investigator), Acacus was the Debater(speaker) and Rhadamanthus was the Dictator(decider) when it came to judgment.

Acacus cleared his throat, "he has been poisoned with a very rare potion that is made from purity", he explained, "he is to suffer instant death but since it was mixed with another drink, the effect wasn't immediate. However, he has his blood outside so he wouldn't die, he will just remain miserable in this form". Baphomet got courage from the little hope to ask his question, "what can we do to ensure that he gets out of this terrible state?"

Rhadamanthus used his fingers to make a sign. Acacus sighed heavily and said, "I'm afraid the only solution is another Dark Age".

A totally different view. How well do you like the demons?

Just so you know, I got their names and traits from Wikipedia and I spiced it up with a little magic of my own.

The witches are in for a surprise!

Q: How many languages can you speak?

A: Fairly three. I'm still a learner when it comes to Spanish but my French and English are good.😋
