Via/Zirim

Zirim twirled the champagne in her hands. This Case boy was far more useful than she expected. "I loved every minute of the raid", Case smiled, "I almost felt bad punching Scalar's pretty face but she's a bitch. She had it coming". "You did well", Zirim stood up, "but we're still missing something". "Of course, Via".

"Good. I just hope your attack was enough to get her here".

"Trust me, it was enough. But it did feel odd. Everyone was cooped up inside".

"Oh" Zirim rolled her eyes, "they're just bother about the demons".

"Aren't you?" Case raised his eyebrow.

"Why should I be?" Zirim laughed, "we've worked with them before. I won't hesitate to strike another deal. Those Solegad witches think their all powerful because of their morals. Pathetic". "Okay" Case said, "all I care about is getting Via. She has to love me back". "And that, she will", Zirim smirked, "you get a wife and I'll get my daughter". "I'll cut off that finger if I have to". Zirim frowned. Case noticed it and shook his head, "no cutting. We'll find a spell".

Zirim touched his cheek before taking her seat. She flinched a little when the doors banged open. She knew it was Zavia. "Zavia!" Zirim smiled innocently, "what a wonderful surprise!" Her eyes were fixed on the Case boy. If looks could kill, he would be dead. "You!" She spat. She threw an energy ball at him and his back collided with the wall.

Via was seething. How could they be drinking champagne at a time like this?! She thought. "That's not a way to treat your future husband". Zirim tsked. Via shot her a glare before focusing on Case. "Is that why you're doing all this?" Her voice was soft. It almost convinced him that she had calmed down until he was floating and choking. "Are you freaking kidding me?!" She screamed.

She balled her hands tighter. When he was finally close to passing out, she released him. "Are you insane?!" She screamed. "Your voice is giving me a migraine". Zirim rolled her eyes while scoffing, "kids" Via eyed her and she raised her hands in defeat, "fine, I'll shut up. Just don't stain the carpet". She went back to drinking.

"No, Via", Case held his neck as he stood up, "you're the one that's insane here. How could you let someone force you into marrying a freaking witch hunter?" "No one forced me to do anything". She gritted her teeth. "So you like him? You're in love with him?" Case was getting angry too.

"No one said anything about love. At least, he's not a monster!"

"He has fumed witches!"

"He was doing his job! And so am I".

"You won't hurt me. Deep down", he was moving closer, "I know you have feelings for me. You can't keep lying to yourself". "You're the one who's delusional here". She stayed rooted to the spot. "Just tell me that you believe in this". He touched the ring. Via pushed him back, "I'm getting married to Manter", she said, "and you know what? I care about him and he cares about me too. I would never regret being with him".

Case lost his mind after her words. He struck his hand across her cheek. Via chuckled with her head down. Zirim was about to interfere but she stopped in her tracks once she saw Via's eyes. This was the moment she was waiting for. She felt that Via was the one but now, she could have confirmation.

Via's eyes were bright red as she stared into Case's. He was too confused to escape her. She snapped her fingers and he was in the air with red sparks around him. She moved her fingers slowly and his bones started breaking. He screamed and screamed but it was pointless. He brought out the monster that Via was trying so hard to push aside.

She clicked her fingers and a silver collar strapped around his neck. He fell down whimpering. "Zavia!" That call was enough to snap Via out of the trance she was in. She stepped back a bit worried that she had let her dark magic take control of her.

"You're ready" Zirim smirked. "Stay away from me!" She yelled. She was about to make a portal when she felt stiff. She was trapped. She struggled and struggled but it was pointless. "My poor princess" Zirim cooed before laughing. "Let me go, you psychotic bitch!" She screamed still trying to break free.

"I warned you about trying to be a hero", Zirim circled around her slowly, "but you just wouldn't listen". "I should have slit your throat like you did to father! Ages ago!" Via said through gritted teeth.

"But you can't now" Zirim crackled.

"You're sick!"

"Oh really! I hadn't noticed!" Zirim pulled out a pearl. Via's eyes widened. "You haven't used it?" She questioned. "Of course not, Zavia". Zirim chuckled, "I was waiting for the right moment".

"I thought you used it to make a portal for the demons".

"Why would I help those fools with it? It has far more useful purposes".

"What does this have to do with me? Giving me more power isn't a smart choice".

"The Castor Nuke is powerful but not in that way. You see...you were so caught up in being a hero that you didn't notice that I was lying".

"You couldn't have been? I-"

"My baby Zavia! This pearl is for irreversible mind control".

"You're lying" Via couldn't believe it. She helped her mother get the one thing she has always wanted. A way to make her side with her. Zirim put the pearl in her necklace. It sent blue sparks into Via's body. Via tried to fight it but it was powerful. She let out a betrayed scream as her real mind was locked up.

Zirim removed the spell. "Come with me, Zavia". Via followed her like a puppet. Her senses were yelling at her body but it was hopeless. They entered a room filled with Noter witches that were bound in chains. She gave Via a dagger. "I want only three alive", Zirim smirked, "take your pick".

The pearl took full effect since Via became unconscious of what she was doing.

The lesson to learn is never let anger get the best of you🤔
