Odin's Daughter

CHAPTER 19

I open my eyes to a light pink colored abyss, but this abyss isn't empty. I see others slowly appearing. We aren't in the after world but more like the in between since I knew we weren't supposed to be dead yet. I see Sam, Wanda, T'Challa, Dr. Strange, Peter, Groot. I give them a sad smile knowing what was going on. My heart breaks as I hear my name.

"Auntie El!" I turn around and feel the tears, Laura, Nate, Cooper, and Lila were all here. Peter swings over to help comfort them. Dr. Strange comes over to me.

"This is going to be a long 5 years." I whisper to him.

"That it will be, for us, everyone else will think it has only been a few weeks." I nod my head in agreement. I don't want everyone hearing that we aren't going back for 5 years. "Do your intro goddess." Strange says bumping my shoulder with a small smile.

"If I can get everyone's attention!"

"Are we dead Auntie El?" Lila asked with tears in her eyes.

"No, my dear, we are in an in between, we are not dead, but we are not on earth. Things will be back to normal soon, just for now... Welcome to Wonderland! Kids come over here." I look around and notice that this abyss is only of people who are related or apart of the Avengers. That meant that there were others with people who had no clue what was going on. Just as if we were in the underworld though I showed the kids my little performance to help them calm down. At least Sam and Wanda got to be together here. I look at them as they are sitting away from the rest as Sam held Wanda as she was crying.

"I think you should take note of who all is here." Strange says giving me a pen and paper. I sadly nod my head. I get his thinking, this way whoever isn't here from the Avenger affiliation would be alive.

I sat on the ground as I looked at this list in front of me. I just sat there for a bit and cried. I lost everything because of Thanos. No one here loved me, I wouldn't get a decent time here. Bucky is alive with Nat and Steve at least so there is that, but I lost Loki. Loki is dead now, I know Gamora died too that's how Thanos got the soul Stone. I also know who will die next when the others go get the Soul stone and it just breaks my heart to think about it. I sat alone in the crowd of people and cried.

"Hey, you want to talk about?" Sharon asked sitting next to me. I wipe my tears looking at her. "Look, I know we didn't start off on the best foot, I just wanted to say I'm sorry."

"Thanks Sharon that means a lot."

"Who'd you lose?"

"Loki died trying to stop Thanos from coming to earth, and I left Bucky."

"I'm so sorry." Sharon says as she wraps her arm around me giving me a half hug.

"Thanks Sharon."

"You're welcome, I've owed you an apology for a long time, but after Sheild being infiltrated by Hydra I had to disappear and I never got the chance."

"It's better late than never." I say with a laugh as I wipe my tears.

"That is very true!" Sharon said with a small laugh. "You know you're really good with those kids. They are really lucky to have someone like you here with them during this time." I nod my head as I watch Lila and Cooper chasing each other around.

"We'll get out of here, it's just a matter of when." I tell her as I lean my head on her shoulder as I watch the others stay close to the people they know. Although we were a team people were still sitting with their own people.

I watched as Peter and Aunt May were talking. Groot, Drax, Mantis, and Quill sat in silence since they too had just lost someone. Dr. Strange and Wong sat meditating. Fury, Laura, and Agent Hill sat watching the kids play. Hope, Hank, and Janet sat talking, catching up on all the years that they had missed together. T'Challa and Shuri were discussing Wakanda and Okoye. Lastly, I saw Jane and Sif talking and laughing about my idiot brother Thor.

Things were going to get better; I would get out of here and fix all of this mess. I had to.

BUCKY'S POV

"I love you Buck, I always will, we will see each other again." El said before giving me hug. I look around and see others slowly fading away. Soon I felt El's body lighten I looked down and saw the reassuring look on her face as I felt this pain of sadness hit me.

"EL!" Steve and Nat stood looking around at who else was gone. I felt the tears stream down my face, the women I loved more than life it self was gone.

"Come on Buck, let's get back and regroup." Nat said walking over to me.

"Where is El! I heard someone shout her name!" Thor yelled as he ran over to us. I looked at him as I was still crying. "No, not my baby sister too." I wiped the tears and just shoved my emotions to the back of my brain.

"We need to take the survivors back to the compound to figure out our next step." Steve said trying to put a calming spin on the fact that we just lost half the universe. I don't say anything else as I walk back to the Jet.

5 hours later.

The team gets off the jet and walks into the meeting room. I sit down and can see a lot of us feel defeated. I watch as Steve grabs a white board and starts writing the name of the surviving member on the board.

"This is where we are at, we have some unknowns, but mostly this is what we have to work with." With that the team started coming up with a plan of what to do with Thanos next.

We spent the next few days looking for the Missing members since we weren't sure if they were alive or not. The team also came up with a searching program that would allow us to track if Thanos used the Stones again.

~20 days since the snap~

At this point we have presumed that everyone on the unknown list disappeared with the snap, and unfortunately Thanos has not used the stones again. That evening we heard a loud crash outside. The team members ran out and say as ship with Carol Danvers standing there. The ramp opened and Tony came out being helped by Nebula, Gamora's sister. Pepper came running out as Tony was very weak. We helped him in the house.

"I lost the kid."Tony was devastated, that was the first thing out of his mouth since he gothere. I left the room knowing that everyone on that list other than Nebula andTony were snapped and it pissed me off more.
