As he stood in front of his dresser with the drawers open, rifling through his assortment of clothing, George couldn't help but feel nervous about the party. He tried his best to swallow back the nerves, focusing only on what he would wear that night.
His fingers grazed over shirts, sweaters, jeans, until they brushed past an unfamiliar fabric buried at the back of the drawer. He reached for it, pulling out a black skirt that he had purchased just before starting at his last university.
He remembered admiring it for weeks before finally making the actual purchase. He had hoped that in the new environment, he would finally gain the self confidence to wear it. But he had been wrong, he hadn't even tried it on yet, only kept it hidden beneath the rest of his clothes.
With a quiet sigh, he folded the skirt and pushed it towards the back of the drawer. He reached instead for a pair of black jeans, a white sweater, and black vans; a basic, safe look.
Just as he finished putting on his shoes, the door swung open, and Dream walked in wearing only a towel wrapped loosely around his waist. George's eyes widened slightly at the sight, his eyes quickly drifting over his toned muscles, the dusting of freckles on his shoulders, the beads of water dripping down from his damp blonde hair.
He pulled his focus away quickly, his face heating up as he silently prayed that Dream hadn't noticed him looking. He busied himself at his laptop, absentmindedly listening to the sound of Dream choosing an outfit then exiting the room to change.
George spun around in his chair as he heard Dream reenter the room. He was fully dressed now; in a pair of jeans, a dark blue shirt, and white converse. His hair looked like it had been towel dried, it fell in messy waves against his forehead.
George felt his face warm again; he thought he looked good, but of course he'd never tell Dream that.
"Something wrong with my outfit?" Dream's voice broke through the daze that George was in.
"W-what? No, why?" George responded quickly and in a surprised tone.
Dream laughed at the quick and nervous response as he said, "because you're staring, George."
George felt his face warm even more, and he was sure that his cheeks had turned pink, so he turned away from the blonde to push himself out of his chair as he answered, "I wasn't. Are you finally ready?"
George turned to face Dream, who had a small smirk on his face as he locked eyes with the brunette for a moment, silence lingering between the two. After what felt like entirely too long, he finally spoke, "yeah, I'm ready. Let's go."

As soon as they got to the party, George's nerves kicked into overdrive. The house was crowded, with people spilling out onto the front porch, loud music thumping from within the walls.
George took a deep breath as he took in the sight before him. He had no idea why he had agreed to this, he didn't typically drink and he definitely didn't like being stuck in a crowd of drunken people.
He was almost tempted to turn around and just leave, return back to the safety of his quiet dorm room. But then he felt an arm drape over his shoulder, a warm body standing closely beside him.
"You okay, George?"
George turned his head to meet Dream's gaze, a reassuring smile on the blonde's face that helped to somewhat set the nerves at ease.
He smiled back as he nodded in response and Dream let his arm fall away as he began walking towards the house, George following closely behind.
As soon as they entered the front door, the music got ten times louder, the sound pulsing in George's ears as he followed Dream towards the kitchen. George was grateful that the kitchen was somewhat quieter and less crowded, and he leaned against the counter as he watched Dream grab two plastic cups, pouring a mixture of alcohol and juice into both. He slid one over to George, an expectant grin on his face as he did.
