Chapter 11

Rai was given a brand new uniform for whenever he went with Aglar to Haul yn Codi last mission. It was a uniform similar to Aglar's, but wasn't as flashy, which Rai was fine with; it was a dark red, almost black military top, with pitch black pants. He had military style boots to go with them. The arm where his insignia was, barely had anything over it, so it wasn't hidden.

He sighed, looking at the large mirror inside the room. His ears looked pointer and longer than they were whenever he came to Arcadia; it also looked like his canines have gotten longer; he was also starting to grow horns. Well, they weren't lying when they said they would help activate my true nature.. He looked over at the half of a white mask with a red smile on it, with bright blue lightning as a scar on the right hand side; Damien had given it to him, saying it would helping with his abilities; as well to shield his face from outsiders. Rai sighed, grabbing his new obsidian colored sword and the mask, then headed down to a chamber.

As he neared, different types of demons sat on strange, reaper like horses with bat like wings. Each of the demon soldiers had either a sword or a pole arm. One group was for archers only. "Oooo I can't wait to beat some Meilyr ass!" Mara exclaimed; he sat grinning on top of one of his nightmares; some of the lower rank soldiers adverted their gazes from the beast, while some backed away uneasy. "You know.. I can't wait either, can you believe that?" Rai asked as he found his own mount.

"I can. They never did anything that would help you, they tried keeping your power contained, that's why they covered your insignia.." Aglar explained; he wore a commanders uniform, which looked some what similar to Mara's, although Mara's was a dark purple, almost black. "Is everyone ready?" The crowd began to roar in anticipation, their mounts matching their enthusiasm. Soon afterwards, the army was riding towards Haul yn Codi territory.

The landscape seemed to change rapidly as the army raced towards Haul yn Codi. Fields changed to dark, burnt ground and trees.

Rai put his mask on in anticipation, ready to be in battle. He was ready to help fight for his ally even if it meant killing those he once called his comrades. He could here the yells and war cries now, as they began to reach the outskirts of Haul yn Codi. Rai jumped off his mount with his sword at hand; the strange beast seemed to turn into particles once Rai was off it. Today, I'll make those who looked down on me suffer...

Rai could see multiple enemies he wasn't familiar with; they wore ice colored uniforms, with teal arm sleeves. Suddenly, one of these warriors shot a vicious wave of ice towards Rai. Rai put his sword in front of him, having it sideways, cutting the ice as it flew passed. He swiftly jumped jack as spikes shot out of the ground towards him. Rai hissed, summoning his lightning, sending multiple triple shot balls of lightning, which broke off into nine separate blasts; forcefully knocking the warrior back, electrocuting them to death.

Rai turned, slicing through three other warriors that were behind him; all of them were in Meilyr clan. He whipped around in time as a warrior came up behind  Rai. Rai blocked the sword with his own, kicking them in the side before they could try anything. The warrior stumbled to the ground, giving enough time for Rai to strike him in the chest with his sword. Mara and Aglar fought mercilessly nearby; Mara looked like he was in some kind wild state, he was looking around like he hadn't had enough enemies to slaughter.

Something hard hit Rai in the side, sending him tumbling, but he kept his balance. His eyes were slits, like a cat's as he saw who his attacker was; it was Jaison. His bright blue eyes were filled with some type of hatred Rai never saw in his eyes before; he didn't seem to know who Rai was.  Jaison sent a large blast of scalding water, that took shape of some type of dragon. Rai nimbly jumped out of the water's trajectory, but it was targeting Rai; it followed him after all of his attempts to dodge. The water shaped dragon finally was destroyed whenever Rai sent a bolt of electricity at it; it made seizure like movements in the air until it finally lost its shape and splattered onto the ground.

Jaison clenched his teeth and darted towards Rai. At this moment, Rai wished he had dual swords; Jaison was raining blows down on Rai with his  long dual daggers, which made it hard for Rai to block and parry with his single sword. A burning sensation went through Rai's side as Jaison sent scalding water at him; it had the same burning away at muscle attribute as Mara's but didn't hurt as much. Rai winced when he saw Mara glaring at him in the corner of his eye. Damn it, if I don't fight back harder, they're both going to punish me, even father may..

"Enough playing around.." Rai hissed, throwing Jaison backwards with the force of his sword on Jaison's daggers. Lightning began to course around Rai's arms and his sword's blade. Just as Jaison put his blades up to attack, Rai charged at him, grabbing his wrist and swung him into the side of one of the house's walls in the town. Jaison got up as soon as Rai's fist was inches away from his face.

Rai could hear bones crack as he made impact with Jaison's nose. Electricity sprang onto his face as he flew back into the wall. Jaison let out a cry of pain, but slowly healed himself, although not enough to make the lightning go away. However, Rai began to pummel Jaison mercilessly. After he did this for a while, Jaison had finally found the strength to kick Rai away; Rai stumbled back a little bit.

"WHY THE HELL ARE FIGHTING THEM??! WE'RE HERE TO SAVE YOU!" Jaison screamed; his face was all bloody as he staggered to his feet, and the look he had in his eyes was gone now."Dumb ass, have you not figured out I'm not who you think I am? Why the hell are you trying to help me six long months later anyway?!" Rai said coldly, taking a threatening step forward. "We've been meaning to come help you bu-"
"Your time is up, you are too late.. nothing will bring me back to Merilyr now.." Rai hissed sending his sword through Jaison's chest before he could block Rai. "My home.. is in Zlephia now.."
