Rai stayed in his cell for the next three days without anything to eat or drink. He craved for the drug that he's been living on for the last six months. He longed for the feeling of pain that came with the drug; the fogginess in his mind, felt like a sanctuary, somewhere safe to hide for a little while. Mara came down to taunt him once and a while, before going to torture Ayaz.

Rai hasn't seen the white haired half demon since the day he was brought in; Mara has been busy 'unlocking' Ayaz's potential. Rai brought his legs up to his chest, crossing his arms on his knees, which acted as a head rest. Hunger gnawed at his stomach.

The clinking sound of chains could be heard echoing louder than the soft hum of those in other cells. Rai could hear whistling coming now as well, as someone came down the winding staircase leading to his cell. "Hellooo, my friend. It's been a while, hasn't it?" Mara peaked into the cell; he had his leather jacket draped over his shoulder.

"You seem in a good mood." Rai said, sounding slightly bitter towards him. I haven't forgiven him yet.. "Ahh, yes. The chefs in the castle made a splendid meal today. Too bad you weren't able to come up and have some too. Oh well." Mara said, leaning against the wall. "What do you want, Mara? You didn't come down here just to talk did you?" Rai asked, raising his eyes up, looking back at Mara's deep purple ones.

"What if I said I did? Hmph anyway.. I came down bearing a gift for you, my dear friend." Mara brought up his right hand; he held a large syringe of Blodyn Diafol. Rai seemed to have a new source of energy; he shot towards Mara, grabbing through the bars of the cell. Mara pulled his hand away before Rai could grasp it; he chuckled. "There is one condition, however." Mara continued, as he watched Rai struggle against his chains, as he held the syringe far enough out of his reach.

Rai slouched back, looking at Mara angrily. "Good boy," Mara said, whenever Rai calmed down enough. "Anyway, you will have to follow me." Mara came into the cell, taking the shackles off of Rai's wrists, then  headed down the hallway nearby. Rai followed behind him obediently, eyeing the drug still in Mara's hand.

They climbed up a set of stairs, which led to another corridor; there was light at the end of the hall, which led to the arena. The sudden light hurt Rai's eyes; he had to blink a couple of times to get used to it. "Oh, here's your sword." Mara threw Rai the sheathed sword, which Rai strapped to his belt.

Suddenly, a hissing sound came from behind Rai, followed by large icicles raining down towards him. Rai stumbled backwards farther  into the arena; he could just make out the sound of Mara saying play nice.

A flash of white clouded Rai's vision as Ayaz dove down to him; he almost cut Rai with his white bladed sword, but Rai had to quickly create a sword out of lightning so he could block the strike, he couldn't draw is actual sword fast enough if he tried.

Ayaz forced Rai to go backwards, making Rai slightly lose his balance from the force. Rai unsheathed his sword, quickly parrying Ayaz next strike. Ayaz had an almost animal like nature as he aggressively made sure Rai couldn't try anything with his lightning with blow upon blow of his sword.

Rai leapt away from Ayaz, landing on a broken pillar above. He summoned his lightning, sending bolts at Ayaz. Ayaz swiftly moved out of the way of the bolts, causing the loose ground to fly up into large dust clouds. However, one of the last bolts caught Ayaz on the leg, but the clouds became to hard to see through before Rai could send another bolt at Ayaz.

Two large spikes of ice sliced through Both of Rai's shoulders before he could see what was happening. He winced in pain, but deflected Ayaz again; he had tried to come at Rai from behind. Rai threw him back to the ground before he could gain balance on the pillar; Ayaz went back down, vanishing in the last of the dust that still hung behind Rai.

The two went back and forth like this until the sun started to set upon the arena. Sweat dripped down Rai's forehead as he faced Ayaz, who looked as fatigue as Rai. They were both breathing heavy, neither one knowing whether to continue or not.

Rai looked over at the insignia on Ayaz's white cloak; It was a golden eagle with its wings spreading along the width of the crest. "Why do you fight for them?" Rai blurted out. Ayaz looked angrily at Rai, but sighed, standing up straight. "I fight for them because I feel their cause best suits me." The half-demon said after a moment's pause. "They also brought me in, they didn't care I was a half-demon. My father was a demon noble, but he abused me, and tried to manipulate me, to join Damien, in his cause. I didn't like this, so my father tried to make my life as miserable as possible afterwards." Ayaz continued, taking a seat on a fallen pillar. Rai came a little closer, but not close enough if Ayaz tried to do something.

"Whenever I was old enough, I finally ran away from Zlephia, ending up in a Cyroin Clan village. It turned out, my mother lived there. The whole clan welcomed me, which I was thankful for. They gave me more opportunities to grow more than my father could ever imagine.." Ayaz finished his story, looking over at Rai. He had a sad and tired expression in his bright amber eyes. "Don't ever make them something your not, Rai. You seem different from the others." Ayaz said in a whisper, his eyes holding a silent plea.

There was commotion beginning above in the arena; Rai looked up to see soldiers running around, hurriedly yelling commands to one another. "What's going on?" Rai asked gripping the leather hilt of his sword nervously. A soldier leaned over the side of one of the walls above in the stands; his face looked like a mix of anger and shock. "An invasion on the castle! They've come for Damien's head!"
