Rai looked down at Alaric's motionless body as he rested his head on his hands that were gripping his sword hilt tightly. A wave of sadness washed over Rai as he looked down at the elf's peaceful features. He was confused on why he was feeling sad; he felt an unfamiliarity to the emotions he once felt vividly, he couldn't really feel anything other than a sort of numbness in his soul.

This doesn't feel right.. so why am I still listening to them?.. The soldiers led by Alaric were retreating, some hastily helping the wounded be moved with the rest of the group; Rai watched as one carried Jaison away; he was still alive. Jaison's half opened eyes caught Rai's briefly before disappearing back into the crowd.

Rai shook of the uneasy feeling that began to creep into his system as Mara and Aglar began to make their way through the crowd.

"Aww, you're so lucky to have had the honor killing Alaric," Mara commented, slightly kicking Alaric's side. Rai felt a wave of anger wash over him as Mara did this action. He aggressively pushed Mara away from him. "Stay away from him!" Rai growled, looking threateningly at Mara; the demon stared back at Rai, but looked unsurprised by Rai's actions.

Rai shook his head, it started to hurt for some reason; he unsure of why he was acting so impulsive. "Haha, I hope they didn't brainwash you, my friend, we still need you," Mara said crossing his arms at Rai, but kept his composure.
"You know what, forget about it. Are we going back now?" Rai asked, feeling slightly anxious. "Yes.. Father would be wanting a report." Aglar spoke, looking over at Rai. "Bring any warriors who were not able to escape, they will be brought back to be interrogated." Aglar ordered as a demon brought his mount over to him. After that, the army made its way back to Zlephia.

Rai watched as they took multiple Cyroin and not many Meilyr warriors down into the corridor leading to the dungeons. Out of nowhere, a blood curdling screech came from the corridor. Some of the guards taking the prisoners down to the dungeons came flying out; they were impaled in multiple places by large spikes of ice. A stray spike shot at Mara, impaling him; he fell to his knees. Both Aglar and Rai ran toward the corridor entrance to see what was happening.

"STAY AWAY!!" Both Aglar and Rai jumped back as a volley of spikes came flying out of the corridor. "That did not feel good at all.." Mara coughed as he attempted to melt away at the ice in his chest; it did not work for some reason. Rai clenched his fists, going back towards the entrance.

Another wave of spikes began to shoot out as he gotten closer, but he ignored them; he did his best to dodge most of the spikes. One of the smaller ones went through his shoulder, leaving a numbness to his whole arm; there was a cold feeling making its way throughout his arm, making it barely able to move.

As he made his way towards where he thought the attacker was, the already locked up prisoners were yelling on the top of their lungs, trying to throw Rai off his search. Behind him, he could barely make out the sound of someone sneaking up behind him. Rai turned around fast enough to dodge the spikes erupting from the stone floor.

The attacker was hard to make out through the darkness of the dungeon; all Rai could make out were bright amber eyes.

Annoyed, Rai created a whip made out of lightning, which gave off some much needed light. He was able to make out the silhouette of the attacker now, who now sent a large blast of ice Rai's way. Rai nimbly jumped back, cracking his whip against the ice to try and halt its charge; it didn't break. Gotta get the Cyroin filth in control of this Rai hissed to himself.

He dodged out of the spike's path, making his way swiftly back towards the attacker. The warrior sent more projectile spikes Rai way, which he had to slide under, although another managed to slice barely passed his throat. Rai lashed his whip in the direction of the attacker; the lightning laced its way around their leg.
Rai then made a throwing motion down towards the light in the dungeon, drawing his sword as he charged towards the fallen attacker.

Rai quickly pinned them before they could stand; he held his sword barely inches away from the Cyroin warrior's throat. "..." He wore a cloak, which hid most of his snow white hair.He looked about 18 or maybe in his early twenty's; he looked up at Rai, surprised, though in some kind of daze from his fall. His eyes looked like pure amber; they looked more like demon eyes than elf eyes to Rai. He slightly blushed, but then looked away; he could just make out the shape of Aglar in the shadows.

"Brother, what are you doing? Oh, you've caught the troublemaker." Aglar walked out of the shadows. "Uh.. oh yes I've caught him," Rai replied, stand up off of the elf, feeling flustered. Aglar walked over to where he stood, forcefully lifting the elf up to his feet, putting thick shackles on his wrists.

"We should take him to be tortured first, what do you think, brother?" Aglar asked, looking over at Rai. "Isn't that father's decision to make, not mine?" Rai replied, sheathing his sword. "What about me?! Don't I get a decision," Mara said grumpily putting his balled up fists on his hips, looking at both Aglar and Rai critically, then at the Cyroin. Mara's wound was starting to heal;he didn't have the spike in his chest anymore.

"Ooo we'll have a new friend either way Rai!!" Mara grinned, going over to look at the elf. "Oooh he has a demonic insignia too!! Not something like an elf's would usually be!! Hey, what might they call you?" Mara asked as he examined the mark on their hand:

"...." he said nothing in response, keeping his head down low. "Hmm okay, I think I know already, Ayaz is it?" Mara continued, tracing his index finger curiously over the white haired elf's insignia. Ayaz kicked Mara away roughly, then began to struggle against his restrains. Mara sighed. Mara walked back over to Ayaz and Aglar; he punched Ayaz hard in the stomach, which made him coil into a half ball in pain, but kept his head up, looking at Mara with narrowed eyes.

"Tsk, y'all need to take a chill pill." Mara said, pinching the bridge of his nose with two fingers. "We need to go report what happened here to Damien. Ayaz is going to come with us." Mara announced, marching towards one of the side hallways that led to the throne room. Ayaz looked like he didn't want to move; however he did after Aglar hit the back of his head hard enough to draw blood.

The sight of his father passionately being kissed by who looked to be Lady Micaela, made Rai feel uncomfortable. Damien's eyes betrayed his anger as he stopped; he pushed Lady Micaela away with what looked almost gentle. She looked over at the four standing nearby, rolled her eyes, got off Damien's lap, then exited the throne room.

"Sorry to have interrupted you like this, father." Aglar was the first to speak, unfazed on what had just happened. "You are fine my son, Lady Micaela just came by to...express her gratitude for the help at Haul yn Codi." Damien replied, fixing his ruffed clothes.

"It was indeed a success. Rai was able to kill Alaric by himself, and we also were able to capture our new pawn." Alaric continued, walking up to where he stood. What does he mean by pawn.. Rai looked over at Ayaz, who looked as disturbed about this as Rai. Aglar bent over towards his father's ear, whispering a few hurried words to him. Damien looked furious, but he kept his composure.

"My son... you did wonderfully today.." Damien praised to Rai.
"Than-"
"However, it seems you're forgetting your lesson, Mara if you will."
"Wait, what is going on fa-"
"It's time for you to take a rest, my friend." Mara's words was the only thing Rai heard before he was hit in the back of the head by something hard, causing him to black out.
